The car is a Mercedes CLK55 2001, I have 2 amps 1 is 300 watts(150x2@4ohm), one is 1300 watts (1x1300@1ohm). For a total of 1600 watts. I have a Kinetik Power HC1800 as a second battery witch is to NOT let the lights dim if the system is under 1800 watts, unfortunately it does dim in the cabin and the amp for my front speakers sorta cuts out at loud volumes. once when i went from drive to reverse it didn't engauge and i had to put it in drive lower my system and put it in reverse, this has only happened once and i was beating really hard (i have not tried this again nor do i want to). I had a lexus 2002 ES300 before this and i did not have this problem, same setup. The 2nd battery I was told acts like a cap as it discharges fast (could of been lied to). My stock battery is in the trunk and it is huge wire from the battery to the front. Is the only option I have is to get a custom spun alternator? not even sure if i can. What do you think of the 100 farad batcap 300? cost is under $150 Could it be another problem that I don't know of or though of? Any help would be great and Thanks for the support.

i want blue tooth/ipod/changeable backround pic, the ipod is most important and SQ. what i have is in sig. i have good stuff and want the best deck for SQ. they both have the options i want. i think the p980 has a better screen and i think the ipod on the x991 is better. no one around me has this on display so I'm buying blind. please help me

You didn't ask a logical question so no one can help, yours was subjective. i got a Kinetik Power HC1800 and i love it i would say the hc1400. i'm pulling like 1600

the price is the same once i buy everything, the 980 has a mic that sets up your system, is that any good or is tuning still needed? i might go 3 way with front stage tweets, everything will have a cross over. but not for at least a year maybe longer i dont mind have more then i need, i care about the SQ and tuning and it plays nice with my ipod. Do you know if that screen is at nice at it looks in the pics? it makes it look like it is bright as hell with a TON of detail. thanks for your reply

i will take a pic and post tonight of the door, i own cdt es-620 and am trying to expand the system with out buying a new set. if i had money to spend i would get a rainbow set but i like the cdt.

I got a new car and it has 3 speakers in the door. i have 6.5" and tweeter and need 4" should i GULP (so much $$$$) buy the right cross over and the 4" speaker for over $500 or put a 4" and make it my rear. if i make my 4" a rear i will need a new amp. unfortunately I'm looking at $500 eathar way i think, maybe not Will a 3 way blow my mind or 2 way with rear be as good? my specs right now: Head Unit: Alpine W200 Subwoofer: SI 15" Mag Sub Amp: Cadence A7+HC 1200@1Ohm Mids: CDT Eurosport ES-620 Mids Amp: HiFonics Son of Boltar 150x2@4Ohm Battery: Kinetik Power HC1800 Rear Speakers: none Everything is in a box as i plan my setup in new car

well i think i'm not doing 3way the 4" speaker is in the rear of my door and is a stock rear speaker and i think it will sound like crap just behide the butt of the person in the car or i could be wrong, not sure. i was looking at a upstage tweet system that uses the dr-26 also. i can't return this stuff if i dont like it, that is my problem.

i think that is too advanced for me at this point in time. but i wish i could.

sorry about that, the car is a MB clk55 amg, i am running new wires to the deck so i can put the stock back in and no one will know. i am going to dynomat behind the door and the door. if the speakers dont fit tight i will make MDF plates. what is the right way to install? can you expand on that more please.

i would buy the CDT cross over for the 3 way system and the 4". so $500 instead of $1500 I guess the real question is will the CDT 3 way sound better then a 2 way?

i searched and i saw posts that say 1/2 volume for 30 min ppl say 2 days 1 1/2 hour each day 15 out of 35 volume. no break in (that is BS i think). witch is best? i have a hifonics running 1000@1Ohm. i was going to do volume 15 out of 35 on my alpine w200 for 2 hours listing to randome stuff. maybe even let the car run and watch some tv for a few hours. should i listen to very bass intence music at low volume? like visionsofthefuture.mp3, ResponseTest.mp3, SubBassEffects.mp3, BassCheck.mp3, ect. all from http://realmofexcursion.com/

how does the SI D2 12" stack up vs the JL 12W7? i don't want JL as i am going for brands not in most retail stores, i want to know how this will compare SAME POWER ON BOTH. i have seen people post on other forums and they compare one to another but the power is differnt.

so i mag isn't good for instrumentals, i listen to instrumentals, techno and rap a lot. i am bulinding a box tommrow, i hope i didn't make a mistake getting a 15" mag
