Hey I have a 12" fi bl and I need to recone it I have it all striped down and the basket I sanded all that crap off but I need some advice on how to recone the sub and what I should do thanks for your help

i would use an impact screwdriver, that's what iv seen allot of people use to get those screws lose there some kind of black glue or something so the screws dont vibrate loose what is it so i can replace it thanks Most Likely ca glue so could i just replace it with epoxy, the same kind im going to use for the recone?

how do you get that black stuff off the screws and then what is it so i can put it back on? so the screws dont move. thanks alot.. i also have pics just in case im not clearly stating what i was talking about please help

thanks everyone for the help when i get my cone in i will post some pics and see if i need to do anything else to the magent before i put my cone on and i think i might get a 15" instead of the 12" because i got a new car and i can fit a big enough box

thanks that helped alot but does anyone else know if fi send you the glue to mount all of the stuff back together and if they dont where can i order it or what will work to glue it together? thanks I believe UPS didn't like Fi sending glue with them, a 5-minute epoxy form a hobby shop will work well. Ok and how much pressure would I need to keep on the spider and cone?

Ok I was going to get a recone kit for my q and the options on the kit aren't the same as the 2010 speaker. So I don't know what to do any help

the bl isnt in my price range because i plan on having two 12"s... so i would have to upgrade amp, alt, more batteries and i want a good sounding system for decent price...like im still in high school and only have a part time job, not complaining, just saying i couldnt afford to get two bls other wise i would of already chosen them i just didnt know much about the ssds.. but thanks for the help plan on ordering them in a couple weeks when i get my paycheck..

hi i was seeing which sub would suit me better..12'' q or 12' ssd both fully load for a ported enclosure, these are the two in my price range.. i like the really low bass that you get aroud 32-33hz and both subs will fit be a 2.5cuft box tuned to 33-32hz

ive started a new thread because my plans have changed for a one sub system to two thanks for the help though!!!

sorry guess i could be more descriptive but like i said before i like the low end bass right around 33-34hz and im looking for spl but these two subs are in my price range..i want it to get loud. i have already upgraded my alt for 80amp to 140amp and i have a soundstream trx1000d amp so im going to running the sub down to 1 ohm and later on get another sub and amp and bridge the together i just need thoughts on the subs which is better for spl.. and i have red top up front and a big yellow top in the back for my batteries and when i get my second amp im going to put a second in there if needed for extra storage and for space as in trunk space the dem. are 14x38x48 HxWxD. thanks for the help

will there be a difference between them... as in is the ssd louder than the q both in opt. enclosures

was justing asking anyone if you could change the fi bl 12" to a 15" by getting a recone kit and basket? Didnt know if you could do that or not. Would be help if you could answer... thaNKS

12" q or 12" bl ok i was woundering which sub would be louder both in a box with 2.5^3ft tuned to 33hz. with the same amp and be able to tell me why! both subs will be stock no options powered by a rockford fosgate p1000-1bd thanks

ok so bl...would it be louder giving it more air space.... like a 3.5-4 cudic feet of air after port/sub dis. tuning right around 33-32hz? then what the site tells you?
