I think you will have a hard time finding a shop that will let you in the install area, due to liability reasons. Maybe best buy? I know the one down here has seating in the install area... Honestly I would avoid most install places based off my own experience.

Need some computer help.

Can you contact your ISP and see if they will reset your IP address? If they switch it and it works, then SMD banned your ip for some reason. -

Try right clicking on the window, going to select all then it should be put in your clipboard. Also, have you tried hard resetting your router? There should be a little button on the back of it you need to press in, and it'll clear all of the settings. You will need to reconfigure the router after so make sure you have all of your ISP settings. Rather than doing all of that you could hook your modem up directly to your computer (make sure your windows is up to date) and see if it works then. This would eliminate your router as the source of the problem. Do you have another computer you can test with? If it works on another computer then something is wrong with your settings. If it doesn't, then most likely SMD blocked you for some reason. -

You could try resetting your router and see if that helps. Another thing that might be worth doing is going to start > run and type cmd, in the blackbox that pops up type tracert website.com and see where it's stopping at\how many hops are going through. (you can paste the results here). Also, this is a shot in the dark but you can run also try running mbam (http://www.malwarebytes.org/) and see if you have any crap installed on your system that would affect your web browser. -

Voltage drop question..
mrbojang posted a topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
So lastnight I installed a digital volt meter in my dash, and today I noticed that when starting the car it reads around 14.5v, when not running it reads around 12.8v...However driving around a bit I see my voltage drop down to around 12.8v, not staying at 14.5v, even if I'm not pushing my subwoofers... Is this normal? I assume it has something to do with the alternator? -

I ran 3 wires from the back of my amp, 1 for positive, 1 for ground, and one for remote..going into the dash connected to the unit. -

I measured the volts at the wires before hooking it up, then I hooked it up and it read the same voltage. I assume that it's accurate? -

It's a new battery so I doubt it's that. -
So i've been doing some reading and I'd like to seal the rear vents in my '06 tahoe. I've never worked with sound dampener before but I think that's the best route to go..Any suggestions as to what I need to buy or the best way to do this? Pic of someone elses truck an the vents in question:

Pics? Here's a video: No idea how to embed. lol

I believe the new iphone is going to be released this year, and from what I've seen it looks pretty sick. Might be worth waiting for...Otherwise I would look into android phones.

Are you still taking preoders for the sa-10's? I sent some emails inquiring about them and a payment arrangement..(Kind of impatient, sorry.)

What's involved in diagnosing and repairing amplifiers?
mrbojang replied to mrbojang's topic in Advanced Discussion
You're right, I can't just jump in and expect results. Building small scale amplifiers (headphone amps, etc) and learning the theory of them is probably the route to go. Thanks. -
Wow. Glad he got it resolved.

Hi. I'm looking into head units and came across a Pioneer MVH-P8200...I noticed in the specs it states 2v output, is this too low? I'm planning on running a sax-125.2 and 1 or 2 sae-1200dv2 (eventually just one more powerful amp). How would this affect power output at the amps and gain settings? Thanks.
-
I believe so. Foam it is then, thanks guys!
-
Thanks for the reply. What kind of foam? Just sheets of it and you put it behind the interior pillars or? Like expanding spray foam. Lowes or a place like that would sell it. I think wal mart sells it aswell. I'll check it out. Thanks man. Did you notice any difference in sound, and door functionality when you sealed yours up?

I'd prefer temporary but something that will hold up for quite awhile...Isn't pressure escaping from the rear (where the subs are) a bad thing? Standing near the vents with my subs on now, it sounds pretty bad also. I read on some forum that it makes it harder or changes the way the doors open, which makes sense I guess..

mrbojang replied to paris's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
Any idea what country it's made in? I'd rather put my money into sundown, considering I have experience with them. -
Your dog is adorable...You do know dogs ears are extremely sensitive, right?

I would think they have other aspects of their company to manage. It's probably more efficient for them to do it one day out of the week in order to manage their time, and make sure everyone's happy.
