Exactly, you should have let the thread die with him being the last poster. IHaven't modeled either because 1)didn't feel like it yet 2) I'm still looking for the high qts specs. Its seems because my post count is low and I posted a plan/idea of my starting point of the design(which I shouldn't have, obviously) the first response was basically telling me I should quit a audio, that's how I took it anyway, sorry if it wasn't intended that way. Like I said earlier, basically my question was what are the t/s specs with the high qts option. Either way, thanks for the input. /thread

Why wouldnt I want to use a BP? Im going to assume you think bandpasses are one note fart boxes like you assumed I dont know how to design one, which BTW wont be my first. Thanks for your input though,i REALLY appreciate it. Oh yeah, how did you design it if you don't even know which version of the sub you're using? Never said i had a degisn set in stone, only had a plan which might not work depending on how high the qts is. Im done going back and forth with you.Im not about to have more posts explaining myselft to you then i have ever posted since i joined in 06.

I guess the real question is, how high are the qts when the qts option is selected..

I plan on doing a 4th order build for 2 SSD 10's and was wondering if I should go with the high QTS option? I plan to have them in a 3^ft @47hz(50^in port),1^ft sealed BP box, sound good?
-
Forgot to ask does the plexi mounted inside the box affect airflow?
-
What did you use to seal and attach your Plexiglas to mdf?
-
Which should work better as a window(9'' x 12'') for a box, 1/2" polycarbonate(lexan) or 3/4" Acrylic(plexiglass) ?
-
Basically all im trying to do is keep the same flat response as the Q's but get louder.. Maybe im trying to have my cake and eat it to..?
-
Or I could also try to build a more efficient box and better brand amp to get louder?
-
Not enough room for 3 12's ported tuned low... But on a side note..I have been contemplating doing 3 15" Q's SEALED.... Maybe that will get louder then the 2 Q 12's and still have the flat response i need...
-
Get the Q, it sounds like it's more to what you want to do. Oh I already had 2 12" Q's and i loved them;but had to sell them due to finances.. But I wanted to add more power to them to get them louder when i want them to wang & chug. Thats why i wanted to know if a custom Q can be built to handle more power.
-
I not talking about a true SQ setup that will PWN the RTA, im talking about a system where 40hz wont be alot louder than 30hz and so forth... Ive read Scott's and Nick's posts saying that the BL wont have the same flat response as the Q.
-
Because i want to keep the same flat response and the same ability to get as low
