    15'' Fi BTL

Alright so I got the Kinetik and amp hooked up to my Fi.... Its definatly movin some air but Im undecided on the best place to set my gain and db output. I dont think i will blow a coil in the sub, im just worried that my amp will fry just like my last one. Would anyone be able to tell me how to tune my amp to the best quality and loudest bass possible. Once again i have a 300 amp alt holdin a constant voltage of 14.4V. I can get as much bass possible cause i have some rockford fosgate T1652-s componets in the front and back powered by a rockford T600-4.
  5. Personally after using knukonceptz, I think that you should buy an extra few feet of 12 gauge. the RCAs are included with both kits but if you want the best cables with no interference, Id buy the Krystal RCA cables. Just measure your setup and buy the cables by foot so you can specify how big of a fuse you want as well. Doing this is cheaper and you can get alot more cable for a better price. If you ever need to upgrade to 0 gauge definatly go through KK. It has bout 5145 strands!

Since its the Dual 1 its .7 per coil. Wouldnt a 2 ohm load from the amp effect the 1.5 coming from the sub?

    15'' Fi BTL

Can I get input on my soon to be new setup? I have a fully loaded 15'' BTL and am wondering if the new alpine amp I bought should be hooked up to it..... Here are the basic specs on the amp... V-Power Series Class D Monoblock Car Amplifier RMS Power Rating: 4 ohms: 1500 watts x 1 chan. 2 ohms: 2000 watts x 1 chan. Max power output: 4000 watts x 1 chan. approx. TuneBass Ed Q (0-12 dB bass boost at 50 Frequency response: 20-200 Hz The Sub... DUAL 1 Fs: 35.6 Hz Re: 0.7 Ohms/coil Qms: 5.72 Qes: .24 Qts: .23 Mms: 256g Sd: 810cm^2 Vas: 71.6 Spl: 93.2dB 1W/1m Bl: 18.3 N/A Xmax: 28mm * Rms: 2000W * Sealed box: N/A cuft. Ported box: 3-5cuft. Sub OD: 15.625” Cut ID: 14.125” Mounting depth: 8.750” Displacement: 0.21cuft So although the alpine amp is definatly powerful, Im not sure if it can live up to the load from the sub. Obviously the two coils are wired in series, and the reading from the meter comes to 1.5ohm. I have a 300amp high output Iraggi alternator and a Kinetik 2400 in the back. The box is cut to 3.6 cuft., tuned at 33 hz. Should I run the sub off the M2000? Do you think the amp will hold strong under the load? Theres a constant voltage of about 14.4V. Please let me know......
