Have just recently purchased from CF a Kenwood Excelon KDC-X494 Receiver, 2 prs of Boston Acoustics S85 6x8 2 Way Speakers for my front and rear doors, and a SoundOrdnance M1350 Amp for my subwoofer. The subwoofer I have is an Image DynamicsID10D4 v.3 10in subwoofer with the following specifications: SMS Power handling: 50 - 400 Watts DC Resistance (Re) .95 / 3.8 ohm Resonant Frequency (Fs) 22.70Hz Electrical "Q" (Qes) .385 Mechanical "Q" (Qms) 4.14 Total "Q" (Qts) .352 Equivalent Volume (Vas) 2.75 ft3 One Way Linear (Xmax) 17.0 mm Cone Area (Sd) 350 cm2 Sensitivity (Spl) 86.5db Speaker Displacement .05 ft3 Dual 4 Ohm Here are the specifications for the Amp: mono subwoofer amplifier 210 watts RMS x 1 at 4 ohms (350 watts RMS x 1 at 2 ohms) variable low-pass filter (40-300 Hz, 12 dB/octave) selectable bass boost (0, 12 dB) variable subsonic filter (10-40 Hz) PWM (pulse width modulation) power supply with MOSFET output My question is can anyone help me with some initial settings I should put my amp and receiver to? I mean there seem to be a ton of settings on the receiver and Amp (HPF. LPF, Subwoofer settings such as db levels, HZ levels, bass boost etc) I am just totally confused on all these settings and what any of them should be set at to get the best from my set up. Please help me out here. I don’t want to buy all this equipment and it all sound terrible. I have all this installed in a 2009 Ford F150 STX Extended Cab. -
