i just bought some new subs and im looking for something thats about 2000rms or alitte above and someone told me that 2000x would work really good but i thought i heard those were hard to find.Any info on this??

what are the specs on those???

well i wrote scott and asked him about everything and he said if i wanted to he could sell those that i was getting and send me some D2 subs....do you guys think i should go for that and get another amp later on or just get a bigger monoblock on down the road??? Cause i mean if i ran a monoblock on each then i would have to run 2 batteries and get a bigger alt and all that fun stuff right????

ok so i finally got rid of my audiobahn flames q 12's and i ordered a set of custom D4 RE SX hybrids from scott...(former engineer of RE) for 350 for the pair.Do you guys think i will see a good overall diff from the audiobahns to the new ones??? they will be going in the same box i have now which is 4.5cu and 38hz.

hmmm ive heard that more then once before...lol,ive had the audiobahns for about 2 years now and never had a problem and they pounded pretty good but its time for an upgrade.

ok so i do think im gonna just install my new x889 by myself instead of having someone do it for 55 bucks....now i was wondering a couple of things here....they sent the wiring harness to me for free but i wont need that one since ive allready had one installed before right???just the small one that comes with the deck i will use to the one already in there? will butt connectors and some elec tape be fine to do the job with?? Let me know anything else or any help if i forgot anything. ok so since i just bought the kenwood HU and its a refurb it only comes with a 30 day warranty so i was wanting to know if you guys think i should buy the 3yr warranty for $45????....i found this out just abit ago when i was registering the HU

well i heard this HU was a really good one for SQ cause thats mainly what i was going for cause i think i got my pioneer mainly for the looks and it didnt have the features i wanted it just looked pretty.

wouldnt i have to use a the new wiring harness to my factory one no matter what the brand??..i guess i didnt understand waht you said maybe,anyways i got the x889 cause i talked to alot of people that had the same deck and really liked it and it had better features then my pio 760mp and plus i got it for 220 off crutchfield.It was either gonna be this or the 8445 but i really didnt like it cause it didnt have a detachable face and and i had had talk to some people taht had sold both brands amd liked the kenwood alot better.Might be of course just opinion though.Do you not think its a good HU???

well i just ordered my ken x889 today so even if its not the HU at least i will have a better HU in the long run.it should be here next week.

i finally got my subs hook up and my monoblock going....so i know most of you have your gains set at a quarter and so thats what i did at FIRST. The dmm gain settings way wasnt working for some reason it kept reading the same numbers with the music going and the music off. Anyways i left the gains at a quarter for now and listened to it and i couldnt even feel the subs at high volume so i turned it up to half just to see the difference and then right as you get to half this HUGE rumbling comes from my subs and its constant even if the music is on pause...and this did happen but not as loud when i had my other amp at 4ohms.can someone pls help me with this?? here was a couple of things i was thinking... 1.preouts on pioneer HU 2.maybe bad ground 3.maybe need loop isolator???

ok ive tried using a different set of rca's from the HU to the amp and the noise was still there....when i uplugged the rca from the amp the noise went away.and even after i resanded both amp grounds down to bare metal cause they werent i still had the same noise and cracklin....no more no less.And for some other strange reason when i turn the deck all the way down to 0 it gets twice as loud.My HU is the pioneer 760mp and of course the subs are audiobahn and the amp is the nine.1.The guys from ED (alex) is the one that told me how to hook up those subs...he made that pic for me as a ref. So whatever else i can tell you let me know.

ill have to look at it tomm and see what i can figure out.....im not a big audio tech so its hard me to do sometimes.

it has both but its bridged internally.....so you dont think its hooked up right?

so maybe because of how they are wired they might not be as loud?? it really seems like they should be.

well since there is the sub out,front out and rear out,what other out could i use to test it on??....i mean isnt the sub one the only one i can use it on?? what buick???....i know i have a monoblock i was tryihg to get my subs at 1ohm....what did you mean with that?

when i turn the gains on the sub amp down alot the noise goes away from the mids and highs so im still kinda thinkin maybe its my HU but im not sure.I just hate having the gains down that low cause i dont get any bass like that......well i do but you cant even feel it its so low......i took my head unit out to check...is there anything i can check with the rca's on the HU to find out anything???

i tried doing all this when the rca's were in the sub amp....was i doing something wrong??/......do you know why the amp would be making those noises??? And how to i check my voltage to make sure its not too low and which setting do i use on the dmm???
