I just got my new amp (hifonics bxi 2010d) and wired up, but yet Im getting no sound out put to my subs? :S I know the amp's getting power because the amp power light is on and the amp lights up blue. The thing that confuses me is that my old amp worked just fine and I go to swap amps hook everything up and yet no sound out put. I have no idea what couldcause this. Anyone know whats going on?

Thats what the problem was, the gain wasn't turned up enough -
OK I finally got them working but they sound like ass. Theyre Wired in 1 ohm according to a diagram i found online which should be 200watts(1k to each sub) and yet my 1000 watt ma audio amp between the two hit like twice as hard. I dont really have any idea what to do as far as adjusting an amp so any suggestions would be great

I tried adjust the gain knob from the lowest setting all the way to its highest but no luck. When ever I first hook the sub wires into the amp the sub makes an audible click sound for some reason :S -

There was sound output with the last amp. I only unhooked the wires and re installed them into my new amp. I checked and made sure all my wires were plugged in not crimped broken etc... Btw my rca's use the rear 6x9's and an output box for amp signal because I have a factory headunit. -

Ok well I'm basically new to the whole audio game, I've mostly always been a gearhead but to many speeding tickets and close calls made me realize that I need to find something else thatscar related and enjoyable. Which turned me onto car audio. I just recently got into the car audio game and am ready to upgrade my factory speakers. I already have my sub stage done and my car is already deadened. The factor speaker location places 2 tweeters on the top of the dash aiming att he curve of the windshield.(My guess would be to reflect back at he passangers? :S). Both the front and rear doors and 6.5's In them and my rear deck lid has 2 6x9's. Any speaker suggestions would be greatly appreciated

My sub amp has the speaker level inputs. I have It tapped into my rear 6x9's. So when it comes to amplifying a front stage is it possible to use one amp for both my highs and mids or would it require seperate amps?
-
Well all of this has to be done through the stock headunit because as of right now there isnt an aftermarket headunit swap kit, due to the fact my car's headunit is built into the dash with climate controls etc. I currently have my amp wired to my headunit, that wont cause any problems when it comes to upgrading and possibly amplifying my new speakers?

My first Priorty is uprading the front speakers since there hardly is anyone in the back lol. Whats the diffrence between active and passive? Also I was looking at rainbow slc ng's for mids ?
