Kind of like the title says, I want to get an Fi Q 12 with all the options in a sealed box, 1.25cu ft. I already have the box made. The amp is a rockford bd1500, does 1500w rms at 2ohms. The amp will be ran off a high to low level converter and I know it looses some signal, but not sure if that will effect the wattage output. I just dont have to have one of these subs built only to smoke it shortly after. Some people suggest not more than like 1250w rms, but i though maybe with the extra options and the fact the amp is off high level inputs if it would be 'safe'? I emailed Fi almost a week ago but they never emailed back. Thanks for any input.

Well I was thinking of running an SSD 12 and running the amp at half power to be safe, since it doesn't look like I can find a 12 thats under $300 that can handle all 1500 watts in a sealed box without worry. I know it wont be as loud, but the SSD looks like more of an SPL sub than the Fi Q, and since I have a stock electrical system the amp running at half power will be better option in general as well. Does this seem like a good option? I was also looking at a Audiopulse Epic 12, it has 1mm more xmax and is the same price, would this be better than an SSD? SQ is important but I do want it to be able to keep up with my front stage...

I have read a how-to online to set the gain with a multi meter, anything different from this if your using a high level converter I should be aware of?
