Heres my dime right before I stripped it.

Yes I was talking about port per foot at 18". And yes 15's would help, even on that power level 4's with upgraded coils would work well if you do decide to sell them. At 5 cubes make sure the subs load well. Even if you decide to switch to 15's they work well in a box all the way down to 6.5 cubes. But DC seems to like big ports from my experience on the meter.
-
Yes 4 cubes after displacement. Tune it 39-40 hz and 18" of port. It will give u some numbers and still be able to blast the lows well. Most trucks react well with subs forward and port up. But I have had good luck with subs and port up in my dime.
-
If they are truely seeing 1300 apiece (have you clamped it) go around 3.5cubes with atleast 16" of port (personally id do 18"). Are you going to compete with it? If you are wanting numbers step up to 4 cubes and tune around 40hz. 30-35 for daily.
-
Thats the only thing I dont lik about aero's. Bring your box size down alittle. Try 4.5 cubes subs forward port up either on the drivers side or a slot port along the windowline. Use around 16" to 18" of port (generic way of doing it) unless you feel like doing the math to figure out what port area your subs like. Tune it around 35-38 if you want good sound and if you ever compete,if its daily try 33-35.I have had better luck running my subs in alittle bit of a smaller box in my truck. Ive tried 30hz in an s10 and modded songs sound great but regular music sounds like . Like I said I have 40hz tunning now (actually 39.something or another) and I can play anything music wise and get a good sound out of it.

Stupid phone.

I have had very good luck firing up and up. Im going to try subs forward port up but for now they load very well on the roof. Im tuned at 40 but for daily id stay between 33-38 if you are playing alot of diff. Music.

The biggest flaw I see people do alot is demo the crap out of their vehicles before the run......I do not touch mine till after I meter and am happy with the score. Then I demo the crap out of it. Seat adjustment can big up nice gains....especially in S10's. Get the cabin as cold as possible with AC (does not work on every vehicle but does help on both of mine) Have your batteries nice and charged. If you have a termlab (test clovebox open, center console open, close open vents, defrost ext.) If the comp. allows it have someone sit in it (I gain my friends Ranger .5 db by jumping in) Have fun and be nice!!! Its all about fun and try to help the newcomers as much as possible!!! (I also try to carry extra fuses just incase someone needs one and didnt bring extras!!) -
Alittle testing today. On the glass Headrest Kick
-
So much pressure...........lol. Ill try to get some vids tomorrow. Going to do some more testing and shrink the port down. So far its at a 150.8 at the headrest Meca style. Hoping to break 151 tomorrow. That 3500 is nasty but I have it turned down due to electrical. New alt should be in next week and im ordering more 0 guage and adding 2 more runs for the + side. Make it or break it trying for a 152 @ the headrest once everything else is done.
-
Last vids before the 3500 was put in!
-
Small update. The SAZ3500 is in. With very little testing pulled a 150.0 at the headrest Meca style!! Im thinking 2 more runs of 0 gauge and still need an alt. Going to have to keep the stock alt. Aiming for S2 in Meca. Ill try to get some pics during testing later this week.

Box is tuned at 39hz. I did a before and after with the pvc on the last box and it was a gain so it just went right into this one.
-
Box is 6.5 cubes after dis. On the inside is a 3" PVC cut in half (it helped) and duct tape to seal the pvc untill I fiberglass it. I havnt clamped this box yet but the last box I was clamping 800 watts @ 50hz. Its still on the 2500. Next sunday I will be putting the 3500 in. Went to a comp. today and managed a 150.9 in the kick Usaci! So im happy so far. Now to do all of what I posted earlier, brace the box and start trimming it off and sealing it to the truck. The goal is a 150 on music sealed by the end of the year.
-
Burped a 150.3. Still need to clean up alot, seal it off, swap out the rca's,add the highs amp, change batteries, clean the wiring up more, get the alts and put the 3500 in
-
Yup we know they are out there!!!
-
Thanks. I like it its high enough not to get hung up on anything. Im thinking about cutting some pvc up in a 3/4 piece and cap it off.
-
I think I was peaking at 44hz. Ill have a vid as soon as my buddie uploads it. Did a 45hz and 46hz tone was all. Still thought it was odd,but no big deal id rather do it on music anyways . Also spent the afternoon tearing the truck down and redoing somethings. Also will be building a new box this week for a show saturday. Going to get that 150 dangit!!
