Well I should have to 3500 in soon. For now we did some playing and I managed a 149.2 so far on music Usac style on music. The odd thing is if I burp my score is lower.......
-
Nice!!! Cant wait to get my 3500!!!

Try dropping the box size down abit Hostility. You can do this easy by removing one sub and measure out 1 cube of scrap board and laying in the box. It will change your port tune but it will give you a better idea if that is the cause of your issue without building a new box just yet. And also im biased pn bigger ports

Cant say on the alts yet,my truck will be a trial run and see how it works. Ill have some pics when its done, should be a few or 3 more weeks hopefully. That and 2 Suburban alts should hold well. Also reconing to level 5 softparts and changing to dual 2 ohms so I can swing .5 daily before rise. Right now im clamping a tad over 800 watts @ 50hz at almost 4 ohms. The goal is 150db sealed on music under the back glass.Want to hit that before the 4th order.Need to find 4 more DB. Im hoping it will be in the alts, wire, batteries upgrading to a 3500 and recones. Plus a new box we will see. And having the truck at Slamology repping

Nope they are not to dark Hostility. Heres one from the show. All of my wire, fuse holders and such came in so as soon as its warmer I will be rewiring everything. By the end of the month I will have my Sundown 3500 and hopefully both alts on. Untill then heres one from the show a buddy of mine took. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aKaijd_AzqY

Its tuned at 40hz. Still grabs the lows well.
-
Looks Brutal Hostility! Yes I miss the Ford and all of the room, but I dont miss the payment or the 13mpg lol. Im trying to upload some videos I took today, soon as that gets done I will throw them up.

3" leveling kit with 33's all blacked out and straight piped...thing was a best.
-
lol well the 8's will be a nice solid build! I just went from an 06 F150 4x4 ext cab to the S10 for gas savings and I dont feel as bad as cutting this truck up lol. I took the back seat out of it and had 2 15" XLs in it. Heres a vid of it....in the port lol. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AYdfYVcXY0o

LOL we should just get this moved and make it an all S10 thread!!!! Also on those 3 12's in your truck. I would mount them all 3 low as possible if you can and then run a slot port along the back window so they get equal tuning. Thats how my next box will be so both subs see the same. Also if anyone with S10s Sonoma's Blazers ect. needs alittle more from the alt. and does not already know about this take a look. I plan on having 2 of these on my S10 this year. http://www.s10forum.com/forum/f27/how-to-high-output-ad244-alternator-for-80-a-376788/ Works with the 4.3s and some say the smaller engines aswell but im not sure on that one. Straight bolt on for 4.3's though just need a longer belt.

I got lucky with mine a buddy found it at a yyard for like $15 other than a small crack in it. Mocking up the mounting tabs is a pain to get them lined up but im not a big fan of single dins. No vids yet but Ill try to get a few this week and Ill see if my run has been posted yet at the show. And they are Level 4s. All power is staying Sundown though. And the 15's over the 12's is alot diff. But I had 15's in before the 12's so im kinda biased there. The 12's did well just not what I was looking for and I think they will do nicely in my car.
-
Thanks! And yes I painted it,the one my teammate found me had a small crack in it so it needed repaired and sanded anyways. Its Fusion paint from walmart thats textured....not sure if I like it yet or not. I think once its warmer Ill sand it down and reshoot it black and paint the overhead to match. All in all I will be swapping alts this month and hopefully have the 3500 paid for next month and I will rebuild the box as soon as it warms back up again. And those are 15's with just alittle over 6 cubes. 139" of port tuned at 40hz and the truck is peaking at 44hz. Even at 40hz tuning its still playing nice and low and reacting with the truck nicely.....all though the overhead console doesnt like it,that things taking a beating lol.

40' of 8 gauge and 40' more of 0 gauge. Next will be picking up my teammates Sundwon 3500. At the show yesturday I burped a 148.9 outlaw in the kick and pulled off a peak of a 146.6 sealed on the kick on music. Going to try to lower the box alittle and get in under the rear window and try to get a 150 out of this thing sealed.
-
Sorry forgot about this thread.... Did 3 boxes with the 2 12's and wasnt happy so I changed gears all together. Now im going to throw the 12's in a 4th order I believe in the wifes car. As far as the truck.............
-
Thanks,I was hoping to get it covered but the nice weather did not hold out ....
-
Yes its spotwelded in place,so cutting that off is a must...No my jack just rides in the rear floor board. Ghetto but I dont feel like having a flat and no jack.
-
Yes sir. If you look at the first pic in thread 64 there is a good shot of it. I cut it straight across so I can piece it back together to seal it all of and leave the room I need. Also have another from a Y yard for when ever I get to another build.
-
Yes I agree Crazy. Im making another piece to go along the top of the box to run side to side of the truck for a flush look, then the amp will be mounted on top of that. Still reading up on 4th orders....im ready to cut this truck up I think lol.
-
Ill know more next weekend. Heading to Indy to get metered, hopefully some decent numbers.
-
I like it. But ya the roof is taking a beating from it. Going to try to get some deadener on it and see if it helps any. Still getting some more gear together and ready for the summer build.
-
Heres the rest for now. I still need to get a trim panel cut to flush the top of the box, mount the crossovers, figure out what to cover or paint it with and do some fine sanding. Also looking at a few other speakers for the dash and doors, new headunit and another run of 0 gauge battery to battery.
-
Well some more work done today since it was finially nice out. Had the old false floor from the F150 so dont mine the holes in it,they will be taken care of. Still not sure how to secure the battery yet. Hoping to have the box done tomorrow then I can test it and get some trim panels fitted for it. Any who here we go... trimming the old table down, forgot how much room I had in the F150.....sheesh all in.... with some weight on it.... future goal....clean this up... Battery will still be in the old jump seat local... getting there last one for tonight, hopefully will be all together and in tomorrow....then the fun of trim panels and wiring.........
-
Yes I have been debating getting some to use for now, then when I get to cutting the truck up I could put them in the wifes car.
