So I've searched this subject just can't seem to find an answer. I have a 15" SSD basket and motor(double stack), how can I tell what coil was in it before? I don't want to buy the wrong coil and it not fit as FI says the flatwind coil option has an upgraded motor. Thanks in advance!

lol not quite that long. just a extcab long bed fullsize. It was a nickname the truck got when I tarped the bed and filled it with water and was cruising downtown with bunch of women in the back lmao.

A member on a different forum. I bought it like that. I contacted him so hopefully I get a response soon. Well when I asked FI they said that when you get the flatwound coil the motor is upgraded, but I asked how you would tell and got no response.

Thanks for all the information. Yes I'm in FL and the humidity has been ridiculous. There was stuff in the truck but not enough and the seats have not moved one bit. I'll just have to meter on a cold night and see what difference I get.

So I drive a f150 ext cab with a kicker cvx 15" with a 6 cube box tuned at 32hz. Right now it is powered by this POS sony 1200 2 channel. The first time I metered I did a 139.5 door open. I metered yesterday and the best I could do is a 137.2 The testing was done on a term lab. Now the things that changed: 4 ft shorter power wire than before - better bigger ground - better new rcas - better new bigger remote - I know this wont change anything just thought I'll throw it out there The only difference than before would be the temperature. It is roughly 35-45 degrees hotter outside now. Can the ambient temperature effect db?? Also my buddy metered too and he had a decrease also roughly 1.5 lower. SAME TERM LAB SAME LAP TOP SAME PLACE! I'm confused!

I'd rather have no time than no money haha. But set up looks awesome in the car just need to tune it and get some nice numbers! Props on the car.

I hope, that set up should easily be in the 140s.

That seems realllllllllllllly low for what you have. I have one 15" L7 in a ext cab f150 doing 139.5 driver door open, and this is off a POS sony 1200 2 channel...
