I've had a iPod classic 80g for like five years and never had a problem with it. I wouldnt know about the screens cracking since I use a hard case with mine. It still looks like brand new when you pop it out of the case. I've left it in my truck when its below freezing and above 100, and it works every time.

Sundown SAX-125.2 would probably be a good choice. -
Seems like its almost dead on accurate with the TL. I'm impressed.

I was considering the REX 8s. What is the mounting depth on these? I'm sure its been stated, but I didn't see it. On the REX's its 4". I'm looking for something pretty shallow so that I can fit it in my door panels. Also interested in how these would compare. From the stated specs though I'm sure they would smoke the REX's, just don't know if I could work with the mounting depth.

Looking great man! Can't wait to see it finished.

Does it adversely effect sound quality in any way? -
oh ok but i was gone probaly enter a db drag this summer idk but alot of ppl i see with system 9 times out of 10 they have thier seats down and it makes a big difference Just take out the back seat when you go to a competition then. Its not that hard, shouldn't take over ten minutes. You pull up on the bottom part and it should pop right out, then there will be a few bolts holding the back part on. yea u right i could do that at comps, but i had wanted that air flow in general as a daily driver just didn't know if it would be too much of a difference with the kind of car i got. the judges may move him into another class if he removes his back seats, I think it counts as "modified" Is that the same if you have fold down seats? Seems kind of unfair if not.

That is an AWESOME price, and they would also match my XXX components. I think I've found what I'm going to go with.

I'm not really sure what my other options might be, but for those JL's the cheapest I can find them is $400 a piece. I'm starting to thing I might be better off making a custom center console and using a regular 8 or two.

I'd never heard of them, thanks for the suggestion. They're site isn't working exactly right for me, all I can see is the tweeters and mids, every time I try clicking on subs nothing happens. I'll do some more searching and see what I can dig up.

If using two subs with dual 6 in parallel, you get 1.5 ohms... -
love the sheit but.. possession with intent to sell is not good decriminalization is the most we can hope for. too stoned to explain why. plenty of documentaries online about it. the union: the business of getting high. fuck even pbs has a great movie on pot. called the forbidden fruit I've got a vaporizer but its only been used a couple of times in a number of years. Its mainly just a novelty for me. What I've got against it is it completely changes the taste, and not in a good way, and I don't get near as much out of it.

Where'd you get dual 6's? The only ones I've seen are the Orphan 8s. I'm sure there are probably plenty more out there, just sayin. I still say go with a T1500-1. I got mine for $395 shipped. Edit: My bad, the Orphan's are single 6's. -
Post a picture so I can write FAIL under it and post it in your other posts. Haha, just playin man, kinda... You do have a great box, and a great sub. I think you should listen to EVERYONE and work on your front stage.

Rockford Fosgate. I'm curious as to why you say 1.5 ohms. If you get a T1500-1, it should still put out 1500 at 1.5, on the birth sheet for mine its rated 1796 watts at 1 ohm. -
If someone is suspected of DUI, they get a field sobriety test. If they pass it, then they should be sent on their way. If they fail it, they should be brought in and given a blood/urine test. In TN if you don't consent to a blood/urine test you can have your license suspended automatically. Easy solution.

Mp3 and SP don't go together really. All MP3 files are compressed, although most people, me included can't tell the difference. I use an 80g iPod classic with an Alpine deck and love it. If you really want to use FLAC (lossless) files, then you could use an external hard drive, or memory stick and plug it into a deck with USB support. I know that with my Alpine deck, you can plug in a USB stick and browse through the folders. The thing is it only supports MP3 and WMA I'm pretty sure, so you couldn't use the FLAC. As stated before, I don't think there is too much difference between 320k MP3 and FLAC, but I could be wrong.

Truck off, head unit off, amp on...
deernet replied to BanginGMC's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
When I was using my Memphis amp, the power LED would stay lit when the truck was off, and I know I was using the correct wiring. The thing is though, there was little or no power draw from it, battery never went dead after letting the truck sit for days. I'm thinking it might have just been the LED for some reason, but I never experienced any ill effects from it. -
I've always wanted a XXX sub since I've seen them. The new ones are plain sexy. Maybe for my next build...

Very informative post. I've often thought about how hard it would be to do this. -

What kind of car is that? -
I think the port is around the entire front of the box.
