Looks great, I might have to try that rustoleum myself.

Looks good n stout good job, let's see some more progress.

The deer around here are dumb as shit too. Most of them will get off the road but won't go far and just stand there waiting to be poached. There are some people around here that fill their tags without ever stepping foot in the woods. We have lots of raccoons, possums, armadillo, dogs, horses, cows, snakes, turtles, squirrels and drunk kids running across the roads here, no moose though, stray horses and cows are about the only ones we have that could cause that much damage. Do the moose act like deer?

Don't feel bad, I run an Alpine that is almost 10 years old. Still works great too, just no fancy stuff.

I'm kinda surprised you don't see illegals running around in Kansas, they are all over in the cities here in Oklahoma and they are pucking thriving in Arkansas.

The Opti series from Lanzar seems to be decent budget stuff, I would recommend a refurbed Sundown or a new Audioque 1200 though if you wanna spend around 250 and get a good quality amplifier.

JL Audio J2 500.1 to run single Skar sub? Enough power?
Ohjay replied to lildragon45's topic in Subwoofers / Speakers
It should sound great on 500, for awhile, my brother ran his on about 200-250 each and they sounded pretty good and supplied a decent amount of output for 400-500 rms to the pair. I think your friend will be pleased with that setup as long as he's not expecting too much. -
which amp is best

Do you mind using a refurbished amplifier? -
I'm pretty sure most of those 1/2 ton dodge ram pickups use the group 65 in the last 10 years. If so, the D6500 would be your best bet. You might be able to fit a D3100 even.
-
A pair of sa8s ported on lower power (700-800 rms) would give you a good bit of low end extension, save some room and be easier on your electrical.
-
Are you looking to replace your starting battery in the factory under hood location or add one elsewhere?
-
I think it would look pretty good

I've spoken with Rob, Kyle and Stan several times, they are very helpful, courteous and honest every time. I've ordered from them twice and received excellent customer service both times. I've been treated well and I'm proud to run 2 of the biggest and baddest high output alternators on the planet. I can't wait to get a couple more. DC Power = winning

A custom box about 4-4.5 cubes net tuned close to 35hz will make those kickers sound so much better and you'll gain a bunch of output. You don't have enough airspace right now and I bet the tuning is way too high. The single Nightshade 15 will require less airspace and will play loud as shit and low. On about 1500 rms or so you probably wouldn't notice much difference in output if the CVXs were in a proper enclosure though.

Kicker makes quality amplifiers. If you have some extra cash lying around, DC Power is having a sale today, 10% off and the alts to fit our applications are cheaper than most others to begin with.
-
Are you listening to the same thing as before when it was louder?
-
Anytime, good luck with your search. Let us know if you find anything.
-
You're correct.
-
Lookin' good, I need more tools and a nice place to work at home.
-
They are not for sale and the specs have not yet been released.
-
Get the Nightshade in a nice custom box, you will love it.
-
After that, I'd use 10 or bigger.
-
If I only had the extra cash lying around, great deal here!

Check the fuse rating, that may help a little in estimating actual power you could see from them.
