Here is a link to their specs which is all I can find on them. They were suggested by a member on another forum called AudioPhil who said that most SSA Sundown IA FI stuff is "off the shelf garbage" and that these at $180 each are in an entirely different class. I am a big SSA fan myself and was juct curious on others thoughts. EDIT Cant display link because it is on C. A. C. O. But if you do a search you will find the link. I'm pretty sure he gets bitchin' deals on those drivers and just marks them up. Then he bashes other brands so you'll buy into his

Look around a bit, maybe try the search function.

Definitely is a nice ride. They're going to be happy as shit once they get those DDs in the trunk.

Design looks great.

SSA Welcomes Mechman High Output Alternators to the forum!

to SSA! -
FTW!! Some heat shrink would really clean those cables up nicely.

You can not turn them into FI subs, you can use Fi softparts possibly as stated earlier but you will not have Fi subwoofers. You can slap Fi stickers on the dust caps too but they will still be VFLs. 10,000-20,000 watts is probably not a good idea for the VFLs or BLs either. Maybe a couple BTLs would be better?

Unplug the knob from the amp, adjust gain to where you would like it, turn knob all the way up and then plug it back in. Now you can not exceed the level at which you have set on the amplifier, you can only turn it down with the knob basically. This keeps you (or someone else) from getting a little too happy with the knob and driving your amplifier beyond the point set on the amp.

to SSA. That certainly is a nice looking truck, I like it!

I'm gonna have to snatch up a couple of those cutters. $3 is a great deal if it'll hold up for a while and gets through that 2/0 easily. I use the Barracutter from Weldingsupply and it works excellent but it was 3x the price.

Living out in the country most of my adult life, I have seen and experienced this problem firsthand several times. There are a few things you can do, mothballs work well as a deterrent usually, soap works pretty good as they love to eat it, poison and a bb rifle will help immensely. Try to move the car around as much as you can if the car runs and drives as they will not try to nest somewhere that is not secure, leaving the hood open helps too since they can't hide in the dark as well anymore. Cats help, as much as I dislike them. Are you dealing with squirrels or mice/rats?

Big 3 with stock alternator?
Ohjay replied to jFreezy's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
Agreed, if any upgrades are in the future just do it once! X3 I always end up using 1/0 anyways even though it is not necessary for smaller (under 2k rms or so) builds. I also prefer to add to the factory wiring whenever possible rather than replacing it. If you already have some #4 laying around and don't plan on running alot of power, it will work fine. -
Hopefully that 4500 and the new enclosure will push you right on into the winner's circle! Good luck at the show! And one for bigjon

Not as good as the first, but worthy of a rental X2 I liked it but not quite as much as the first, I think the Willem Dafoe/Julie Benz swap kinda killed it. She was ok but I missed Smecker.

optima blue top

Of course it will work. It's not the best option but it will work. -
Maybe you should run a single 12, or both on a smaller amp, they should still perform quite well with half rms.

Glad to hear you got it figured out, I'm having a similar problem with a new box I've been trying.

Looks good, glad you found some decent vodka.

Some nice rides for sure, thanks!

How good are SHURiKEN batteries?
Ohjay replied to jFreezy's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
I use Shurikens -
Enlarging the mounting hole is probably the best option as long as there is plenty of material to safely do so. This will greatly increase your options.
