I figured I might as well start this build log too, it should help keep me motivated trying to keep both builds moving. This is my brother's vehicle and his 2012 Mod class MECA build. Equipment being used in this build: 230amp DC Power alt. stock under hood battery with a single Kinetik 1400 in the rear JVC HDR50 Kicker KS69 Soundstream pcx270.2 SSA Zcon 18" Sundown SAZ3000D (thanks Steve!) I only have a few pics right now, I'll get more soon. Some shots of the big 3 looking ugly with the tape and big washers, but that was only temporary. Power cable through firewall. More pics coming soon, possibly a step by step guide to doing a large case alt swap on the Dodge 2.0L as well!

I know now why there isn't a 5th on the back yet. Those wheels are crazy big, it was hard enough for my short ass to get in the thing before. Looks like I'm going to have to bring a stool next time.

Nice project for sure, plum crazy purple would really make it stand out as well. I say go for it!

Good luck fellas, I'll be rootin' for ya. I need to get my own ass back in gear to get back in half ass decent shape. I haven't felt truly good in some time and I think a bit of the problem could be related to my poor diet/exercise.

I agree with everyone about not needing the rears. This is good advice if you can't return the items since you don't need rear speakers or 6 channels.

These are both fine choices. The older Crescendo 3kwp and Sundown saz3000 amps would go great with a pair of Xcons as well and would save you even more. You should be able to find the 3kw amps around 500 or maybe even a bit cheaper.

Check out fullsizebronco.com and do some searching, if you can't find any info on your particular problem, post a topic in the 78-79 Bronco tech forum and you may get some ideas from the guys who really know the FSB inside and out.
