Ohjay replied to TRP's topic in Competitions & Other Organized SPL/SQ Events
Triple points and a chance to meet Alma Gates, sounds like the makings for a great show. Have fun and take lots of pics. -
It happens, I cut myself several times while doing my doors.

That never stopped ya before did it?

If you have access to a decent air compressor, I would really recommend a body saw. They're made for what you want to do with it. This is what we used on my doors when I decided to go from 6.5" to 8" speakers. http://www.homedepot.com/h_d1/N-5yc1v/R-202796115/h_d2/ProductDisplay?langId=-1&storeId=10051&catalogId=10053

Well I don't think they were pulling the sleds themselves. The races wouldn't be very exciting.

Sir-Lancelot's Yukon XL - UPDATE 18" ZCONS / 4 GP3k Page 27

Looks like it's progressing to me. -
Looks like they're more interested in modifying other vehicles. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_eI8vGEJA20

And if it does break, you can just take it back and get a new one. Kobalt ftw
-
Pretty good progress for one day.

Crazy.... it's kinda cool though

Thanks, fitting the 8" speakers in the door was a piece of cake, I have plenty of room. I have 8" pa mids in the doors right now. I'm going to swap them out with the Soundstream coax soon. They will be temporary as well, when I decide to start glassing, they will be replaced.

Congrats, I can't believe it took so long. Now I'm waiting to see what's next.

Thanks guys, the box does look good but the tuning is off and I want to try to get a bit more volume so it won't be permanent. The Rhino Liner is nice but it's hard on the carpet so I will probably do something different on the next one.

I ordered and use the Lenco Swedge-On tool from Weldingsupply for crimping, it works great and only $12. I also use their $9 Barracutter cable cutter and it works well. It looks like you did a fine job crimping with your tile nippers but I wouldn't want to be beating on them with a hammer. The Positive post is almost always larger than the Negative post. Did you buy the terminals as singles or in a 2 pack? It sounds like you just have 2 Positive terminals. The only other thing I can think of is that you do indeed have a Positive and Negative and simply mixed them up. Was the other terminal very tight?
