Hmm, any epoxy I ever used would have been very hard by now. Sounds like you either didn't get the mixture right (too much or too little hardener) or didn't mix the hardener/resin properly. Most of the epoxies I have worked with have 2 different colors (white & black for example) so you can tell by looking if the resin and hardener have been mixed well enough (mixture turns gray).

Right on, I still haven't heard this sub, it's been sitting in my room since I brought it home. I need some money so I can get some enclosures built for the Z and SAs, school doesn't pay very well. That blows about the stripped plug, you could buy a tap/die set and do it yourself for about the same price and have some tools too if you wanted.

My ol' lady's car has a pair of REx 12s and my little brother runs SRx 12s both have been beaten on everyday for over a year with zero problems so I really don't see anything wrong with the new X models as long as you don't TRY to destroy them. Not a bad choice for a bit o bass on a budget, but I have found that you can get a better product around here though for just about the same price. Go check out the Skar sub/enclosure deal here on SSA. IMO it's probably the best deal out right now on a 600w rms 12 if you need a box too. I would have jumped on it to replace the pair of REx 12s but I bought a new alt. and I'm broke now.

My little brother has a pair of srx 12s on a hifonics bxi1610d @2ohms that he's been beating on for a year or so with no problems. I think it'll be fine. Decent drivers for the price too imo.
