    Joe's wall build

OK, owning one (which I do as well) and sitting in his specific truck, that has everything done to it are the same thing. I'm 5'8", and I sit just fine, but you know better than I.

    Joe's wall build

It's not as bad as you'd think. I've sat in it a couple of times. Also he hasn't posted in here, but this system in now changing. The wall is the same, but................... Well I'll let him come on and tell you what he's doing next.
  3. First of all, who all has had any experience with these amps? They are stable @ 2ohms for about 1200w. Just curious if they might be able to handle running @1.34ohms. I have a 200amp alt, big 3, and 2 red tops for an electrical system. Thx for the help.
  4. That would be nice, cause I'll be running 3 4ohm svc 1508's to each amp (2).

    6 4" aero ports & 6 DD1508's?

I'm going to be doing a box for 6 1508's and I have 6 4" aero ports lying around. I was wondering if a box at 6.5cubes (after discplacment) with 6 4" aero ports would be to much?

    6 4" aero ports & 6 DD1508's?

OK, I was looking at tuning it to 38Hz. I would like to take it down a little lower, but I know that 40Hz is recommended. How do DD's do with a lower tuning? So with aero's (Precision Ports) 4 maybe 5 would be ok with all 6 1508's? Maybe 2 separate chambers with 3 1508's & 2 4" aero's in each. I would love to go with 6" aero's, but I have these 4" here already, and I would like to utilize them if I can. Thx for the help & input guys.

    RL-p 18

Great looking finished box. I love the look of it,very nice. I think you did a great job for your first build.

    6 4" aero ports & 6 DD1508's?

I was running off the theory of needing 12-14sq" of port for every cube. 6 4" gives me 75sq" in a 6.5cube box.

    Rli-10 v. Rl-p12

Not a typo, just cool lingo, lol. I had an X-cab as well, and I had 2 15" RL-p's in there ported. A sundown 1500 with the 2 12"s sealed would be perfect to fit in your truck.
  12. Wow that changed the whole look of that truck from the rear. Looks good, and I like how the plate area was made to look like the emblem, lol.
  13. I like the look of that mesh much better. It flows with the amps, and you can still see all the work done behind them. Great job.
  14. Looks good, but if you could find a mesh that matches the one on the amps, it would look 100x better. Other than that, this build is amazing.

    The wall build

OK, so after many months of procrastinating, I finally got around to building it. Now keep in mind when looking at these pix, it's far from done. This was a quick build to make it to a show. I still have a lot of the "beauty" trim to put up, wires to clean up, and tuning to do to the amps. So with that being said, it's on to the pix!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This was my old setup The new build My door panels with 2 MAW 6.5"s & 2 Fusion Power Plant Tweeters to each door Be genital with the remarks & comments, lol. I know it's not a "true" wall, but I go through so many ideas that I wanted to be able to take it out later, lol.

    2 18" RL-p's in a sealed box

lol, thx, but it's far from done. I'll get more pix up later this weekend.
  17. First off, I currently have one in a ported box in my truck. I've never owned a sealed box, so I don't know what to expect. I can get 9.5cubes total (before displacement) for the subs. They will be pushed by 2 Infinity 1211a's (one to each). So my question is............ Will I be happy??? I know this is a silly question, and one that really can't be answered till I build it, lol. But it never hurts to try.

    2 18" RL-p's in a sealed box

    Yup, it became this http://www.soundsolutionsaudio.com/forum/i...showtopic=17957
  19. I was wondering how this is done? I'm sure it's something simple, but I'm having a brain fart, and can't figure it out!! You know how meade and many others can control all their amps (2+) from 1 bass control knob.

    ported box for 2 10" RL-i's

A nice "daily" tuning is around 34-36hz. That'll give you some pretty good output. I like the low end stuff, so I have mine ported to 30hz. A good 600-800rms (true power) and those subs should get pretty loud and sound good doing it.

    ported box for 2 10" RL-i's

What kinda car/truck is it going into? What kinda power are you sending to them? I personally would say 1.5-2 cubes ported (after displacement) for both.
  22. oxsign

This a good amp for my RL-P 12"?

That power would be just fine for that sub. Are you doing sealed or ported?

  25. OK, these are crud MS paint drawings, but you get the ideas, lol. I plan on starting this tonight. I'm just not to sure which one to go with. 4 6" flair ports, or 1 big slot port. I'll get more port area with the slot port, but I do have 4 6" flairs sitting here as well. On to the specs & drawings. I used bcae1.com for my results with this. Click on pix to make them bigger. Slot port specs & drawing 6" Flared ports specs & drawing What are your thoughts? Should I go with the obvious, more air space with the slot port? Thx for the help & input guys.
