Any plans for a "SUPER WOOFER"???

They don't make an RLS18. Maybe you ment the RLP18. I had 2 of those in a wall a few months ago. If the RL-I 8 was available, I would be ordering 6+ of them right now.

    This is true. 2 RL-s 12"s on a Sundown3000 in about 6 cubes ported to oh I don't know maybe 30Hz?

    Product availbility?

This is what keeps me coming back. Although I have not had any warranty issues, it's nice to know that it's there.

    Orphan 8's Need a Home!

Sundown3000 or Memphis4K? Mike, you think 6 of these would be able to handle either of these amps?

    Orphan 8's Need a Home!

Ok with the DDs gone I'm starting the planning of the next box. I'm looking at 12"Tx36"Wx18"D tuned to 34Hz. 6 of these running off of a sundown 3000D. :bigclap:

    Orphan 8's Need a Home!

I really like my DD's, but everytime I drive the wives car I miss the SQ of anything SS ive ever owned LOL. I would like to get about 500-600w to each (6) of them. That might make me happy LOL.

    Orphan 8's Need a Home!

Swappin out the dd's for some of these? I'm considering it. I'm also looking at an RD3250.1 to push 6 of them. :bigclap:

    Orphan 8's Need a Home!

AWSOME ok I have some selling to do. I think 6 of these ported off of an AQ2200 (or bigger LOL) would be nice.

Hey Mike, just wondering if any of the orphans are still available?

    Sound Quality

From personal experience, I'm a big fan of Sound Splinter. The SQ is excellent & they get very loud doing it. On top of that, they are very efficient, and don't need much power. I'm sure you'll get other suggestions, but I havent vered far from SS are far as SQ is concerned.

    Bending MDF

Looks good, nice job. I have yet to build a box using the "bend" method. One day maybe, lol.

Box tuning help for Rl-p 12

2.25 @ 32Hz would be ideal for me. What kinda power are you giving it?
  14. Thx for the input. That was my concern as to whether or not it did rated (or close to) power @ 1ohm. I have a budget of $225 shipped to spend on an amp at this time.
  15. I'm thinking of getting this to push rl-i 8"s in the wifes car. I had a directed 1500D, but it's on it's way out. It states that it'll do 1500@1ohm, but how true to rated power does this amp do? Thx for any & all help. P.S. Here is a link to info on this amp. http://www.savinglots.com/lotprod.asp?item=XT4000D
  16. It'll be 2 D4 8"s. I would like to have the extra power on tap just in case I can talk the wife into more later in the future. I'll have to check the prices at db-r.com. I'm getting this amp used for about $175. That's the only reason I'm considering it. I'm on a budget at this time, and it seemed like a good buy. I just wanted to hear some first hand experience from people who have heard or owned this amp. Thx for the input. I'll go check them out right now.

.5 is more than enough for an 8" or 10". You will have issues with mixing ohms in your subs. Just look around, and I'm sure you can find a S4 RL-i.

I would personally opt for a 2nd 8". The size & space you have available would be ideal for them. We're running 2 ported in the wife's car with a Directed 1500D (600w each) and we couldn't be happier after 3yrs.

    SPL brand subwoofers?

This suggestion might be your best bet. I had 3 maw 10"s, and I was very happy with them.

    SPL brand subwoofers?

You should not be buying them because of what brand they are. Not a good idea.

    Okay, I've made my setup.

Save the money from the cap, add it to the $179 and get a good HU. Do the "big3" wire upgrade, and you'll be more than fine. What kinda wire do you have for the amp? $60 for suplies to build your own box.
  23. To push 4 1508's? I can run 2 1508's @ 2ohms to each 1211a (1200w), or I can run all 4 @ 1ohm to the AQ2200 (?). As for my electrical, I have 2 redtops, 200amp alt, big 3, & 0awg. What's going to be the all around better setup?
  24. Really??? Hmmm........ I was kinda leaning towards the AQ2200. I own all 3. Can you give your reason why? Is it just more power with the Infinity's?
