    Starting a new sub box

I've routered the port ends (pic 2), but i'll be using silicone for the inside corners. Hopfully that'll round them out enough.

Thx, I plan on filing them in and covering the box. So I wasn't to concered with the "looks". I just hope it sounds good when I'm done. It should be better that the PVC ported box I have now (I hope).

    Marine Battery???

Are they ok to use as a primary and secondary??? I can get a great deal on 2 blue top Optima Battery's. I want to use one under the hood (for the truck), and a second one inside (for the system).

New numbers on the TL mic.

It looks like that in the sketch, but in reality it'll be 3" from the wall. The port will be 3"x16.5".

New numbers on the TL mic.

Thx guys. I have 2 15" RL-p's, Power acoustik A2400DB @ 1ohm (900w ea.), 2.5cu. per sub @ 32hz., mic on the dash. Let me know what you think. I know this box looks rough, but it's sealed up good. I'll be rebulding this box soon, and making a slot ported box to about the same specs.

    RL-p SQ or SPL???

Would you recommend running RL-p's as spl subs?? I have two 15"s in a ported box W/ 2.5cu., and 900w rms each. The box is ported to 32hz. I was told that would be best for an LSQ set up. I was just wondering about going from LSQ to SPL.
  15. Other than the space it would take up. Would the sound be different in a box thats 2.5 (per sub) @ 32h vs. 3.5(per sub) @ 32hz?? Same power, same subs, same everything. Thx

    RL-p SQ or SPL???

Well, my real issue is wanting to know what these subs can really take/do. I'll find out next week what my numbers are with the set up I have now. I love the way they sound, but if I ever wanted to put them in another box for straight SPL, what would be best as far as size/power.
  18. I cant get into the "For sale/Wanted threads?!?!?! It just keeps telling me that "I dont have permission to use this feature".

    Shirts or Hats???

Wow, did I start something??? I was just wondering 'cause I was at a show this weekend and no one knew what "sound splinter" was. But everyone loved the sound. So I figured that if he had some shirts or hats, I would love to rep them.
  20. I have some 6.5 comps in the doors right now, and some 4x6's in the dash if my s10. I was wondering what was the advantage to getting "better" door/dash speakers?? I have 2 rl-p 15"s in a ported box. Would it "add" to my bass?? Sorry if this is a noob question. I just want to justify soending more money on "better" speakers (mids/highs).
