I decided to build a new box for the 18". Started with this........ Then this...... Then this........ I actually have the front, back, and top on. I just haven't taken any pix of it yet. It's bigger then the last box I had in there for the 15". I got about 7.2 cubes with this one. I'll get more pix up later. It's going to have 2 6" aero ports tuned to 34hz, and a Orion 2500d.

I did. Unfortunately nobody saw or has anything. Trust me. I did everything I could think of before calling the cops.

Thx guys. It was FEDEX that delivered it. I called them to confirm the address (hoping that maybe they left it at the wrong place), time & day that it was left. I was going to file a complaint, but they said that it has to be done by the sender, not the receiver. I sent Mike a PM letting him know what happened. I'll also be hitting up the local pawn shops just to see if anything pops up. There's not many of these 18"s out. So the odds of someone pawning one is not much. I would hope that if we here had one, we would sell it on here or ebay first.

This guy is getting ready to do it to his S10. Already has the subs and amps. http://www.s10forum.com/forum/f30/taking-m...tml#post3944034 Last page on the thread.

Thx, she like it too. Although I'm trying to talk her into letting me make a ported box. I think the song was track 6 on the new young jeezy CD. It's funny 'cause nobody beleves me that it's 2 8"s untill I open the hatch to show them.

It would be nice, but it's been done before with 4 RL-p 15"s in an X-cab S10.
-
For now it's the factory amped monsoon system. 4 6.5", and 4 1" tweets.
-
You'll get good sound out of them in Tahoe. Ported in a well made box with the proper power will make you happy.
-
Thx, she likes it, and I think it sound nice and clean.
-
Thx. The 18"s are going to be nice. It involves something along the lines of a 4th order box.
-
They soung great. I love these things. Heres a little video of them.......

Honesty, I was really looking for the best way to set up my re comps to give me the best sound with the amp I have. I didn't realize that it was so involved, LOL. I was planning on making some glass pods for my doors, and I wanted to aim or place them the best I could.
-
I'm going to attempt my first door pods. There not going to be down low and the bottom of the door like most. Mine will be up a little higher. My question is, whats the best way to face them??? Should they (6.5" mid & 1" tweet RE's RE comp set) both (pass & driver) be angle up towards me? Or the one on the pass. side angled towards me, and driver towards the pass.? Or what other suggestions would you recommend?

I'll admit I am a basshead. I like the low ends, and I like it loud. I've only have 1 sealed setup out of the many i've had. That was a lonngggg time ago.
-
I can get 14.4cubes net after sub & port displacement. Ported to 34hz with 113" port area in a wall. Will this be enough air space & port area??? I'll be using the Orion 2500d to push them both (if I get the other one) @ 1ohm.
-
My other option is......insted of a wall, I can keep it at the window line (9cubes), and run the sealed.
-
4 6.5 with a 6" mounting depth.
-
I'm not opposed to running a 3way. I think that would be great, but I dont have the room for an 8".
-
LOL, no I dont want to be like the "donks" that ride around here. I do want it to sound good & clear. I've had a problem in the past where I just couldn't the voice loud enough to hear over the highs & bass. So i'm just trying to get the best sound I can on a budget.
-
+1 with it moving so much you can see out of it anyways, LOL.
-
Thats a pretty good score for a single 12", congrats.
-
Looks really nice man, good job.
-
Really? I didn't realize it was that small of a number. Maybe I should buy another one.
-
Should be more than enough. Thats what i'm using for my RL-p 18".

Turned out really nice. I cant wait to hear your thoughts on it after the install.
