For a single DCON you could used one of these. The SAX-125 will give you 400 watts at a 4 ohm load which would be great for the DCON, and it won't break the bank. SSA just did a price drop on them, and if you ever upgrade your sub amp it could be used for your front stage.

What alt. are you using? You usually fuse for the wire size. -

Same as fusing the power lead going to the rear for your amps, protects the wire in case of accident. -
Here is the link at SSA for the enclosure designs and recommended size for the 12" ICONS: http://www.soundsolutionsaudio.com/index.php/downloads/enclosure-designs/category/12-icon.html 150 is a slim budget for amp power for an ICON, but who knows...

Of a stock car with the trunk interior pieces removed? I'm building this in my free time and still in the planning stages. This is ALOT of stuff to cram in this car, so I'm figuring it out before I get equipment for it. U said a mouthfull there!!

Here is the direction I went with my Blazer. With the room and possibilities they hold, I am sure you will do something nice with yours. I don't blame your son, I would have wanted that too!!

Builder handled the motor once we pulled it. Problem with the cam, ate a couple of lifters. I think it was a bad grind, but can't say I never saw it before or after. Grasshopper figured since it needed a new cam he would put in a roller cam. Zinc in the motor oil today is partly to blame, (the lack of it) Also when starting a motor with a flat tappet for the first time it should be run around 2000 2500 rpm for the first 30 minutes with Break-In Oil Additive. but with a roller cam no such problems That's why we were pretty blown away about this situation, because we added zinc and ran a breakin of 30 minutes @ 2200rpm. Oil pressure looked ggod the whole time, it wasn't till the next day or so and the oil pressure had dropped. Like you said, with the roller it is a done deal. Thanks for the post!

Gonna have to drain the gas tank, possibly even pull it so clean it out. Fuel gets really funky after it sits for a while and you don't want to be pumping that mess into the injectors any more than it already has. I would vote to get it to fire off and try to run( not for a long time, just enough to know you got something to work with) before you go dumping a lot of money into it. -
Thanks, yes the bumper incident has made him more aware of his surroundings. I can understand your son's being upset, my dad got rid of a car when I was young that I always thought I would get. Blazer? That is the base I am planning my project with.

Grasshopper was originally going with a SB but he got a shot at a 454 block and went with that. He works on the beach so with the weather warming up like it has he has been working 24/7, but he is puttin' back a fund for continuing his project. Thanks for the post and stay tuned...
