Options on Alt. for an Isuzu Rodeo

As of now on paper the amp fuses wil be 600 amps together. Guess I need 2-300amp alts. Then take into consideration that the amps won't get up to their fuses, so your at less then 600amps. And then your not playing test tones, music is dynamic. Then 6-8 batteries... You should be fine with a beefy alt and all those batteries. Either way just go with what you can afford and install. Is this build going to start sometime this summer? Can't wait to see! If I can get some other things I have in the works completed, then Yes I will commense this summer.

To your response that I did not answer... I have no problem with dealing with an install of an alt that is NOT fun. I have a very good background in autos and modifications. I am not wanting to rebuild the whole serpentine belt system, but some heavy mods I am up for!

I agree that the 6-8 bats may be overkill but I want the groundwork layed for upgrades to amps and subs!

Mid 80's sqaure body blazer. Would like to use this Rodeo possibly. This vehicle only has 38,000 miles, it is being given to me by my Dad. Would give me a nice option of traveling to some shows that with the blazer I would not go to without replacing the engine and trans.

Options on Alt. for an Isuzu Rodeo

If I go with this Rodeo as my install vehicle (I have a choice of 2 vehicles, this one being the best of shape) the starting amplifier output will be 4-5000 watts. This will be a SPL/Groundpownder with a wall, planning on 6-8 batteries. I want to make a wise decision going into this on the alt. so I have the electrical to make this happen. Thanks

    Need Info on ID Horns

The good news is those mids will play up to 2000/2500hz and play loud. Plus you have 8 mm xmax and a FS of 50hz so you can EQ some decent midbass into these. You have lots of options and it should be a nice set up when your done. Since Brad has experience, I would follow his advice and start at 1200hz with a 24db slope. He would know better than me. I wish I could find the link, but Eric posted up some EQ settings as a starting point that were said to make a great reference. I am sorry, but I cant find that anymore. If someone does have this info please post it up as i will be doing this myself one day soon. Good luck Sir, I am sure it will be nice. As I responded to Cobra93 above I am not sure yet on the vehicle, seems I'm playing musical cars right now. My second choice on install vehicle and possbly the better one would probly limit me to an 8" for the mid. Thanks to you for the response and if you run across that info in the future I would love to check it out. You guys here on the forum have prompted me to do more reading and research.
  14. As the topic title reads I need info on ID horns. I have 2 sets of horns. Both sets are full size. I have had minimal results searching for info on these horns. One set came with the install and tuning instructions. What I am looking for is the correct crossover freq. for these sets, power ratings, and the advantages of one set over the other. I did find this link for what I beleive is the V-2 version PDF but the driver in the second set of pictures does not match the driver in the PDF. Any info or input you can provide is appreciated. 1st set-Beleived to be CD1E-V1 2nd set-Paper work that came with it states-CD1E-V.2
