What did you order??? Most of the subs have a 1 - 2 week build time.
-
What sizes will they be offered in, and how do the specs (wattage and enclosure sizes) compare with the XCON?? Also have heard about a FCON, any info on these??

Possibly, and you'll loose a fuse if it touches ground. Of coarse all connections should be done with battery disconnected.
-
Yeah the were to put them is on my mind. What I'm planning will require 14 fuse holders, so figuire that kind of space. I wire up my amps, and before I mount the fuse I use a test light across the fuse connections so it keeps from sparking when you put in the fuse.

I did try to hit up Bromo, but he said he was not into doing walls. I'll try your suggestion. Good point about the grill, and I was the one that had it replaced. Couldn't go all summer without grillin' out, Love my grilled sausage!!!! Wait that sounds gay! Glad to be welcome in the "ruin your truck" club!!

Thanks!!! The thoughts on the 35 tuning was because of the Sundown recomendation as well as with this size port the length of port gets crazy when you start going low on tuning.
-
Excellent question!! This is what I need to make me think. In responce, I don't know. I know that the recomended tuning for these from Sundown is 35hz, I did in the begining of thinking this out that I would use a 32-33Hz tuning. Would that low of a tuning (28hz) be worth the extra space required for port displacement? Would it increase the goals that I have in mind? Nothing is built yet, that is why I am consulting the masses here on the forum. Thanks for the post!!

Really clean car, looks good!!! How close to the inside wall are the areo ports, it seems in the pictures they are close, of course pics can be deceiving. Keep up the great work!!

I was hoping this would get me into the game. The thought on building it with 1.5" walls is to, maybe in the future, move up to XCON or ZCON with double the power.

Yeah she's not real happy that I want to take a vehicle with only 37K and "ruin it" in her words. Yes you are not alone!
-
I have used that style before, they are hugh! Been thinking of trying these. They are not to eye appealing and of coarse they require more ring terminals.
-
I have no pics and I suck at using sketch programs.

Your no help!!!! JK There will be a build log!
-
So the amp does have an issue? Glad you sorted out the problem.

Not worried about #'s, just ground-pounder and hairtricks. You know something to play with! With #'s your allways trying to get the extra 10th.

Sounds like you are good to me, but what do I know?

Yeah I was looking at those Ciare 8.50NdW as well myself, still am but I had to jump on these tweets. They seem to do what I want specs wise, as close to nice sounding horns/tweets as I can get and the quality is top notch. Which makes me want to get there mids as well, I know they will be sweet to have. Im still interested in those Sundown Neo-Pro 8''s so I wont make a purchase on some 8''s till Jacob releases some specs on his drivers to compare with the other's im interested in. I would be down for some of the Sundown mids, but the power rating confuses me. There is something about a mid that can handle 3-400 watts that puts a smile on my face.

Yes, it has very small balls in that comparision. CDT subs seem to be a nice build quality, will try them out in something eventually.

Don't know what the charge rate for the XS bats are but I do know with my son's Kinetiks, they are finicky as hell about how you charge them. I just wasn't prepared for the aggrevation those things have put me through without having one of their chargers. Guess I am just "AGM dumb"!!
-
Sweet lookin' tweets!!! I was looking at some Ciare mids just recently. Their products seem nice but have had no experience with them.
-
Batteries are not my thing as of yet, I know if the bats are of a different reading they will equal out when hooked together. This is normal but if one is weaker than the other it hurts the stronger one. I also have heard most people charge bats way to quickly, will sometimes take up to 3 days on a slow charge to bring to full charge.

Is that 3/4 or 1" birch??
