Those were the exact ones I've been thinking about, and those are the same complications I ran into on how the box is on the BIG side and I haven't heard the cutout diameter yet for them so I'm waiting to hear of that before I can make a decision to preorder them or not. And there also at such a good price. And I know it sucks about the xcons, maybe one day I'll have a little more money to go towards a setup. E-mail Jacob on the cutout size, space in the box is easy to fix if needed. Ask Jacob about that space with the power you are planning for them and get his opinion. Nothing like an answer from the man that designed them.

To bad on the XCONS. How bout the SA15's from Sundown???? Your box is a little on the large size and not sure on the cutouts.

You said that metal work was your trade, and it shows the amp rack looks great!! Thought the cover plate for the fans was a weird trim for the speaker box at first, then I saw the fans mounted, that turned out sweet and will provide great function!! Hope you get the sub-amp straightened out, keep up the great work!!

Nice line up of equipment!! to bad about the Khaotik Enclosure not fitting.

It would be like this with 4!!!!!

^^ What he said!!!

What's the coil configuration of the Dcon you have now? If it is a single 4ohm, 3 more with it would give a 1 ohm load and the amp you listed (Memphis PRD1000.1) does 1000watts @ 1ohm. That would give you 250 per sub which might put you were you want to be.

The grasshopper has been sent on a mission for tomorrow. Should have some updates on his progress coming soon.

I think the Icons would be better for the power handling, but 4 Dcons would be cool since I havn't seen them used that much in multiple sub installs. Would be tuned in to that setup for sure!!

Just for some info, these headers may not look like it in the photos, but they are massive, the instuctions for the headers from hooker matched exactly as to what we had to mod on the passenger side, but when it came to the drivers side and the steering shaft they gave no mention to any mods being needed. Guess they didn't see a need to steer the vehicle they built the headers for. Props to getbent for the time spent making sure he had the clearance needed for the headers!

Wired @ 1 ohm that should hit pretty good if you get the enclosure setup figured out like you want. Keep askin' questions and the answers will come, we all want the mostest from our setups.

What amp you gonna put on these??
-
That's what is shows, but remember that is for min. port area, and ported at 35 may be a little high for daily.
-
Go recheck that info with a 20mm Xmax, i beleive that is the spec on the SA15 and that will give you a completely different answer. With what you showed, and a 20mm Xmax it showed min. area at about 145"

I'm planning a build with a few of these subs and I'm hoping to give each sub approx. 70cu" of port per sub and from what I've been told that is still on the low side. Deffinately give them some more port area. Good Luck with your build and keep us up to date with what is going on with it.
