Yes, I am an idiot. I'm going to second this and say spend a little extra money and go with a Dcon. Best money I've ever spent on a sub.OK that gives 3 shouts for the DCON!!!! and some sex from the girlfreind!!!! Sounds like a win/win to me!!

It is a fail on my part not to slow my son down to get some vids up for the completion of this build.

We thank you for all the kind words. I have always tried to excel in doing things the best of my ability and through this project I was hoping to embed a mental note in my son that anything you do you can do well if you take the time and have the patience to complete the goal. It has always pained me to see some great equipment installed hap-hazardly when a small portion of time could make it look great. I enjoy doing projects and love the challenges that they present, it gives a great feeling when you can sit back and enjoy the fruits of your labor. I have enjoyed the opportunity to share this build with the members here at SSA, and especially with my son, and if it has "inspired others to acheive, desire and want to to better in all future endeavors" then I am ever thankfull.

Got Momma ridin' and bumpin' in style!!!! When Momma is happy everybody is happy!!

I know it would put you out of your budget by a few bucks with shipping but a DCON 10 @ $115 would be a great choice. 1-1.25 enclosure ported. It is said these are allways being overlooked because of the lower power handling, but give great performance for the $. Good Luck!!

On the YUKON???? Give me a break, YOU got that truck wrapped tight!!!! You can come down and give a hand on this Grasshopper build, didn't you have an import of some sort??

Still have those amps? No I sold the whole vehicle after about 2 years of competing. That was a good while ago... Still have those amps? Don't blame you for collecting them, they had great power. I broke into the 150's with those amps, but of coarse I understand the meters are not as easy as they use to be.

I would start by saying to turn the bass boost off. The remote only controls the gain not the boost. The bass boost seems to end up causing problems with clipping and tearing up equipment. A custom shop might be better for finding a meter.

My thoughts from what you have posted and the equipment you are using is that first, with the 2-4ohm subs you are not getting full potential (500-600watts)from the amp. Secondly I beleive the CDT subs you are using are more of a SQ type of sub, which to me I think you are expecting to much of them. Now I will say that I have not used the CDT subs before so I don't know what they are capable of as far as loudness. Maybe someone else will chime in and give their thoughts.

What are these going in, and what are the plans for covering??
