Truck empty, back windows plastic dipped black Holes cut for power, ground on pass side Baffle mocked up. Big Thanks for nadicle for coming over and helping cut on the old shell. Had to add 3 inches to the bottom to make room for the new sub layout. Baffle bracing, its 2 3/4 boards thick but needed more. This should do fine Just a sample of over 150ft of 2/0 in the truck, will be over 250ft when complete Shell is in and secure Baffle in

Look at this beast Well I went ahead and my big girl panties on and started the truck. Lmao!! Got the interior pulled, cut some metal, drilled some holes, got the false floor built, tomorrow i should get a lot done as well. Should be playing by the weekend. Not the doors though, I have the sundown comps up front I will leave just to get through the first show.

Well, the frame on the van is a unibody frame type setup and it sucks asshole. I will need a to have a long ground bar welded to it if I want a good mounting location. The truck on the other hand has a thick ass nice frame I can bolt to easily. I am also now having the mental issue that I will have a good bit of coin in this build and can only hear it when going to shows cause the fucking suspension surely wont hold the weight and the fuckin trans may take a shit when it tries to pull it all so no cruising around in this bish. I am about ready to move back to the truck because its built to handle the weight and just take my time and figure it out. My business is so slammed right now I cant be stressed over this fuckin show this weekend. Sorry the build log is so fucked. Not gonna do any work tonight and think it all over good. Money is not a problem at all, just cant make a solid decision.............

Not huge progress but got the Van over to the house, got all seats out, Big 3 is done, I drilled out a hole in the floor large enough to do 4-6 runs to the back down the road. For now there is two runs of 2/0 going to the back battery bank. This afternoon I will start on putting in the head unit, running RCA's and maybe speaker wire to the front. May go ahead and look at door panel options aswell. I have a few ideas but unsure what to run. Probably 2 10's per door and one super tweeter per door. Since this is mainly a SPL and demo vehicle for shows I'm not too concerned with quality mids and highs. I need loud and clear. I also need to think about amp and battery placement. This will be a push to get completed this week Here is the victim, she will clean up good though. Atleast its not a Ugly van, LOL Just test fitting the enclosure So much room behind the wall, This is why I decided to change up to the Van. lol Here is the crappy progress photos so far. Cutting floor for the runs to back This looks like a good spot, sound deadner works great for a grommet, lol Just alittle 2/0 laying around, haha Heres the big b*tch thats going in there. 400lbs sexy birch Thats done Alternator wire ran and a new Die hard Platinum gp34 up front

Questions involving grounds when using a second battery...
swift replied to Chris1309ny's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
The alternator is grounded to front battery using 0 gauge. My question is do I need a run from the - front battery terminal to the body? I apologize for the confusion. Ground all negative points yes. But if going to the body make sure its very think metal and a good ground, like the radiator support or similar -

He said not to ground to the body. The alt should be grounded to the front battery. -
I will add atleast 2 more or 4 more........ honestly. But who knows the Van may surprise me and be loud as balls with the flat wall and 4 of them. The windshield has a huge slope to it so it will be interesting to see how that affects the fs response.

ground the secondary battery straight to the frame as well as the ground coming from the front battery -
I know man, its a done deal. It may not be pretty at the Vinny but it will be there and playing. I will run the current enclosure through the season and rebuild over the winter more purpose built. If it does a 55-56 headrest this year its all good, next season I will do 60's headrest or bust

Thinking I just might, here measuring it now. It would be so much easier. Plus it could be kept at my house in the garage. The truck is too tall to fit so that means any work done is during the daytime outside (that sucks) Plus dual alts will fit no problem in the Van. Plus the truck has fixed voltage that cant be altered because its 100% computer ran. The van can have a adjustable regulator Then just put a cheap headunit in it and keep the PRS80 in my truck with the single Ethos 15 for daily use. Fuck it, the van has a denso 160amp alt in it. maybe that and 8 batteries will be ok till I can get a mechman or Singer 320a unit. Here comes the Minivan folks. If I do this I'm going all out over the winter

Maybe, but I wanted a surf board monster so I got with Ampere Audio and bought a brand new 7500.1 and have another one that will be coming too. They are roughly 38in long and 11.5in wide. I have to plastic dip rear window, build the false floor 2in lower than last time, build the rear bracing against the truck and secure, do the Big 3, drill several 3in holes in the cab and bed floor, buy a toolbox, build a battery rack inside it, run 4 runs of 2/0 front to back, build the new baffle, cut the old baffle off, build the trim panels and seal off and hope I left enough room infront of box so amp doesnt stick past B-pillar, find out how to keep the fuses and buss bars within 18in from the amp (meca rules) . But the truck should really stand out at shows because not many 60k trucks lifted on wheels with full wall builds are at them. And I get to ride around with it everyday working..... Fuckkk just shoot me know. If I miss this weekends show I def wont have a shot at world finals.

Started on this yesterday. I have one week to complete the entire build. I have so many obstacles with this new truck I am twiddling my thumbs more than work. I could slap all this in the minivan no problem but its no where near as nice as my truck, the air dont work, shitty alternator that would need replaced asap, etc etc.The truck has a good 225amp large case alt that will hold the single amp ok. I'm so stuck as to what the fuck I wanna do. I may not have room for the amp inside the cab and thats a huge deal. I dont want a big ass high dollar amp in the hot ass toolbox. FUCCCCCKKKKKKKK I'm wasting daylight....... Look good or look like all the other big builds in a old minivan wrapped with decals?

I wouldn't say Big Jon's is massive by any means. I say it's just right. Definitely awesome. Now when we see a wall go in, then start getting intimidated lol
-
Sounds good, roll with it. Put up pics when done
-
Hopefully these will interact well with the current ones as I may want to order more in the future to add to what I have

I would look into doing each bodypart once per week. Change your routine every 3 weeks, not totally but on that 3rd week on back day only do deadlifts and thats it. Separate your Cardio and heavylift days. Running a mile after lifting is not helping if your trying to gain mass. Do your running on a separate day or early morning the lift at night. Alot of carbs and protein are important within 30-45 minutes after workout. Focus mainly on free weights, anything with a cable is not gonna gain mass but work some of that in maybe once a month for a shock. Get plenty of rest on lift days, go to bed early on those days. I could set you up a good mass routine but there are so many different ways to go about it. Most people over work themselves when trying to gain size and most of the time the opposite should be done.

When I get home I will pull them out take better pics and gather info and we can talk

-
I doubt it but what are you looking at
-
haha. Oh I got a whole truck bed they can fit in. Whats bad is when you spend what I did on clubs and you use them twice in 3 years because your too busy working. lmao Now with the bicep tear I dont see swinging a club for while This would be a great set for someone. Very forgiving irons.

He has 11 batteries and room for 3 8k's. I think he has the power covered just fine. lol That video was with the truck OFF on battery power only.
