Well, I guess I spoke too soon, when cold voltage is good but after the truck heats up it is dropping back to 13.2 at a red light or idle. Considering my stock alt will hold at 13.7-13.8 in the heat I think I'm gonna have to call Mechman and see what they think.

I'm sorry but its NOT, plain and simple. All that is is simply putting it in a box. Zero protection. I paid 800 bucks for my 2 Q 18's and both boxes looked like that with one large chip out if the magnet. Not acceptable for the money spent.

OK, Looks like it was the batteries. Truck sits back at 13.8-14.1 at idle like it should now. I am super glad its not the alt but now I have to go spend yet more money on another 1 or 2 batteries for the rear. Thats very strange because both Optimas were sitting at 12.65 still this morning. I hate that I jumped the gun and was thinking it was the alt. But after all the trouble I have been through I just figured that would be my luck. Thanks for the help!

Ok just went out and put in the two new D3400's, both sitting at 12.95. Well shall see tomorrow, I sure hope it was the Optimas going out.

It's a lamp, lol. Had it for years

Thanks, Eric at Innovative knows his shit for sure. Running the Extreme Street tune now, should be around 430rwhp-750-800rwtq. Plenty for a daily truck, got to watch it in the rain though, throttle is light a light switch, comes on strong quickly at partial throttle

Well trans did go out. Truck now has a brand new full billet Suncoast trans, converter, maghytech pan holding 28qts of trans fluid. The truck is a beast no doubt and hopefully worry free for awhile. May take it to the drag strip and see how she does. Been installing new wiring and head unit. False floor and box is ready to go in. I will do the door panels after I get the subs in and playing. The doors will take awhile I'm sure. The fosgates will work up front passive until then. Once this new alt or battery issue is fixed it should be banging. Pics will up when a little closer.

I will check the batteries in the morning, if they are still holding at 12.6 it can't be them. I would love for that to be it though.
-
Yeah they are very nice and fast turn around, but........ I still have my stock alt but I now have a 1 inch shorter belt to help with the belt slip I was getting from the Mechman. Maybe it will still fit the stock but unsure. I sure would like to install the 3k worth of stereo equip I have but sure as hell can't do that until I have sufficient charging power. :/

Love the subs, but the packaging is just plain garbage. Seems like they would care alittle more about their product. The Sp4's I bought were crated and showed up good. But all other subs I have bought from them show up that exact same way. You know how Fedex and Ups are, pack them knowing what they will go through and that wont happen.

Good luck with it, looks too involved for my personal vehicle. Hope it turns out how you want.

Go with the gcon and add some poly fill. Should be fine in that box

It's a 5 year old 650, lol give the dude a break. Who cares how he got it. congrats on the bike!!

If its in a trunk I probably wouldnt want to, harder to tell if its getting very hot or starting to smell maybe till its too late. Play it safe and dont run over RMS in a trunk, but that just my opinion.

Nice vid. And that song is the shit too, don't let anyone tell ya different. If Sen actually listened to it once he may feel different. Old man.....lol. That one of the hottest new guys out....haha It would have been better if you hadn't muted the song really.

I buy what I want she buys what she wants, works out great!! As long as we don't affect our financial position or goals it's all good.

Let me see what I can do, This would be good for my single box.

Truck looks good. You will save money by Not owning the big diesel.... trust me,lol

Thanks, we are really going to enjoy it. My wife and kids are leaving for the weekend on a short vacation while I stay back and work. Should be a nice trip for her. It will get 20% tint when it gets back Now just need my truck back so I can turn in this shitty rental car. lol Oh the second pic is actually the CTS interior, LOL. The pic with me driving is the SRX

Well, My 2007 White Diamond Escalade was awesome and we loved it. Low miles (58k) and still have over a year left on its certified warranty. So I decided since we were in good shape with it it was a good time to upgrade into something else. My wife sorta wanted something smaller because we have had big SUV's for the last 6 years or so. I was looking to get maybe a IS250 -350 but secided I would call up Cadillac and see since I already had history with them what they had that might fit the bill. I went out there with a fully loaded new CTS on my mind but after driving several cars I decided this was the best option especially since we have 2 kids and have been spoiled by space. This was the best driver too. Its a SRX crossover SUV and I will say this things drives better than the new CTS's by far. This mofo is so loaded it will take awhile to get use to it seriously. I can start this thing from my Iphone, lol. It doesnt use a key but just the key fob, when you get close it unlocks the door and sets the seat and mirrors to your setting, when my wife gets gets her key fob close it sets the seat to her settings. Since my truck is down getting overhauled figured I would post up a few photos of my new purchase. Some may wonder why trade a fully decked out Escalade for this but this is a upgrade for sure.

Well, after ordering all my new equipment and waiting a month on the SP4's, amps, yada yada yada. The headgaskets blow in my truck....... I went ahead and spent a small fortune getting upgrades and making the motor pretty much bullet proof and throwing some serious power to it. Truck runs like a animal now....Should be around 430-450rwhp and 750+rwtq on the tune thats in there. Well I go 3 days and BOOM, transmission must not have liked the new found power and is now toast. The tow haul light was flashing and I tried to limp it to the shop and to get the solenoids checked and I heard a high pitched whine. Pulled over and smoke just starts rolling out from hood and trans fluid pouring out on pavement. Had her towed to the shop that does my work and said what the hell, ordered a fully built comp trans and converter from Suncoast Transmissions in Florida. They are expensive as hell but are one of the best trans you can buy. This one has billet input shaft, billet internals, triple disk converter and is rated at over 700hp so hopefully no more worries. As far as car audio, The truck will be down another 2 weeks then hopefully I can get back to my install. This is very discouraging but its making me really think everything over.
