TIBTECH Electrical conductivity (10.E6 Siemens/m) Electrical resistivity (10.E-8 Ohm.m) Thermal Conductivity (W/m.k) Thermal expansion coef. 10E-6(k-1) from 0 to 100°C Density (g/cm3) Melting point or degradation (°C) Silver 62,1 1,6 420 19,1 10,5 961 copper 58,5 1,7 401 17 8,9 1083 Gold 44,2 2,3 317 14,1 19,4 1064 Aluminium 36,9 2,7 237 23,5 2,7 660 Molybden 18,7 5,34 138 4,8 10,2 2623 Zinc 16,6 6,0 116 31 7,1 419 Lithium 10,8 9,3 84,7 56 0,54 181 Tungsten 8,9 11,2 174 4,5 19,3 3422 Brass 15,9 6,3 150 20 8,5 900 Carbon (ex PAN) 5,9 16,9 129 0,2 1,8 2500 Nickel 14,3 7,0 91 13,3 8,8 1455 Iron 10,1 9,9 80 12,1 7,9 1528 Palladium 9,5 10,5 72 11 12 1555 Platinium 9,3 10,8 107 9 21,4 1772 Tin 8,7 11,5 67 23,5 7,3 232 Bronze 67Cu33Zn 7,4 13,5 85 17 8,8 1040 Carbon steel 5,9 16,9 90 12 7,7 1400 Lead 4,7 21,3 35 29 11,3 327 Titanium 2,4 41,7 21 8,9 4,5 1668 St.Steel316L EN1.4404 1,32 76,0 15 16,5 7,9 1535 St.Steel 304 EN1.4301 1,37 73,0 16,3 16,5 7,9 1450 Mercury 1,1 90,9 8 61 13,5 -39 Fe. Question on rewiring subs
swift replied to needmobass's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
I just use the standard Zinc coated all thread from Home Depot on all my builds. Never had a problem, If your picky you can order Aluminum all thread also. I believe 6061 is what you will want. I drill a slightly smaller hole and tighten my chuck on the all thread and screw it through the hole for a tighter seal, Then just silicon it up to be completely airtight. I use 1/4 in on smaller builds and 5/16 on large builds. -
Its dropping down to 12.9-13.0 at idle and red lights with the sound system OFF. This is with the 2 new XS d3400's under hood. They agreed its something wrong and said send it back.

Looks like this ones going back , great customer service though. Should be another fast turn around

happy Bday!

Just pay a shop, you may not be quite smart enough to figure this out with the instructions given. lol

Thursday it will be finished and maybe get some more vids

First hair trick with the sp4's. My wife could care less about audio and I finally talked her into hearing what I have been working on. lol Voltage is on the low side and when I get the other batteries in I can turn her up some but the SP4's are very impressive and much louder than my Q 18's.
-
Yeah, it's bolted to the back wall. It's scary to think that is behind me, lol. I'm gonna weigh the truck and see where she stands. I'm guessing 8500lbs

Finally making some progress. Box going back in was hell, had to take off the leather beauty panel cause we ripped it and I redid it, no biggie. Box is massive In and ready Went ahead and deadened all doors but only took a pic of this one. After lots of brain storming and not wanting to start on fiberglassing doors and realizing how huge those Crescendo 8's are I decided to pick up some Rockford Forsgate Punch Pro Audio 6.5's for the stock location. Also mounted the Ft1's off axis on doors near the mids. The mids are very nice and loud. After getting in all in and alot of EQ'ing running active I have to say that it sounds awesome. Its not perfect but it will suffice until I decide how I want to do door panels. I think I will sell the Crescendo 8's and buy another set of the Rockford pro audio mids, The are expensive but are very shallow and very well built. anyway here are a couple pics I have the final 2 d3400's coming this week and I will be done fooling with this shit for a minute. Right now it is brutally loud and without the worry of voltage I will be happy. Maybe I can get it metered soon. It shouldnt have a problem going 152's I would think. For a box tuned low at 30 it slams

How the hell is anyone suppose to answer that question? Its all about the install, Any answer is a complete guess and nothing else.

You base your sub selection on what kind of help complete strangers are gonna give you on a public web site, Jesus dude lighten up and quit being a little whiny bitch. SSA subs are some of the best you can buy period! If you want opinions from the SSA staff then email SSA and ask them, this is a public forum and 99% of the people on h ere are enthusiasts just like you.

Ok, carry on lol

So what exactly do you have? One thread you said you have SA subs and this one L7's and one a Hifonics amp, this one a planet audio and in your profile you say something else? Do you actually have anything, Pics of system or pics of both systems?
-
Sell that amp and buy a 1ohm stable amp, and build another box. That would be your best bet. No since selling those subs to buy Dcons, Honestly you will probably be louder with the L7's. Look at the Hifonics BRZ-2100 or BRZ-1700 would be your most economical approach. I will assume they are dual 4's

Sorry about your luck man. Hope you get this going soon. I like the comp set!
-
haha Cant wait till my other batteries are here and doors done, then I'll turn that gain knob up a hair.

I thought white smoke could be from either water or fuel. Excess fuel that wasn't fully burned off when shut down. Once it's started later, it's not fully warmed up, so that excess fuel is only partially burned. Black smoke is excess fuel.
-
He says head gasket, when it warms up it expands and stops smoking. He sai white smoke is water and if you check coolant levels everyday you probably will se your looking alittle as time goes
-
Xcons or FI Q's would be my choice for that goal. A Crescendo 3500 will be plenty for either of those and get stupid loud. Trust me
-
Well, the Sp4's are just plain brutal!!! The enclosure seems perfect for them at 14cu tuned at 31hz. I still need to get my mids and highs in, running the head unit on standard mode with the rockford components with one blown tweeter just to make sure everything was hooked up correctly. Sounds like ass. Gonna try to get the doors done this weekend. Gonna run active 2 way with the 8's and FT1 super tweeters, after listening to them eq'd sitting on my dash I can live with it.

Nice, a guy at work has one but a 96 I believe, his smokes on start up also, blows alot of black smoke when in throttle with low boost and runs hot alot. I will ask him what he thinks it is. But with all that his truck still puts in work everyday pulling my 24ft enclosed

Hmm, good thinking. Since my rebuild my idle may be a hair lower than it was before. I will go into my tuner and raise it 100rpm and see I that helps. My truck sits low at maybe 650-700. That may be the whole issue.... I just ordered two more D3400's today so I will have a total of 4 of them. I will have plenty of battery power that's for sure.
