FI SSD 15 vs APline type R 12's

Those are impossible questions to answer, all 3 threads......... He should be louder than you if the setup is right, or you could be louder than him. No one here knows or will EVER be able to answer that question.
  3. I didnt check your measurements but the design will work just fine.

    Another bloody calculator

Safari on my IPad and Chrome on my laptop. Neither worked. I'm not sure what to look for. I filled out all spots except vent Mach and hit calculate and it just reloads page, then I fill in every spot and put .045 in the Mach area and hit calculate and same thing. The other calculator says I will have .04 Mach on 5500 watts and .051 with 11k. I was just curios what this owe says. What does it actually calculate?

    Doesn't work bro
  6. Thanks, all screw holes will be filled, I wanted the smooth side in. The birch is so smooth I may not resin the inside. I think it would be hard to get back to the smoothness it is now. Started working on the port but my wife shut me down, I guess a saw at 11:00 at night is frowned upon in this neighborhood. Haha

That's the entire reason for the vent mach page... Otherwise the ported page would have to ask all the same questions. I was talking about if I was just wanting to plug in measurements from an existing box that i have to see what the vent mach would be. That's the entire reason for the vent mach page... Otherwise the ported page would have to ask all the same questions. I was talking about if I was just wanting to plug in measurements from an existing box that i have to see what the vent mach would be. You can use the vent mach page for that since it's based on the driver t/s specs, port area, tuning, and power. Just plug in your current driver's t/s specs, power, enclosure tuning, and enclosure's port area. The port Mach page did not work for me. An older one you made I believe works good but this one doesn't show anything when you hit calculate.
  8. I don't know how this works I they are huge I apologize, these are straight from the iPhone
  9. Thanks guys, more pics to come tonight, the sheer size of this beast is hilarious. Measurements to actually fit through the door opening have to be perfect. This will be interesting. Figuring how to secure it is also challenging. With 34cu ft of outside dimensions to go through the side door is crazy

    Opinion's on new subs ????

Three 12in Icons would get loud and sound good doing it. That's my vote!
  11. Alittle progress here, I will try to add the bracing tonight and maybe get the port built.

    SP418 enclosure size

That was 6 months ago and he still only has 9 posts total. I think its safe to say he doesnt visit much. LOL welcome
  14. I like the Knuconcepts 10 gauge ofc speaker wire. If you have them strapped and only one set of wire coming out I would use atleast 10 guage. I would never use 18 or 16 gauge for any real power.

    RF Pro Audio Mids

Through my same type of goals I found that the PA 6.5's in my stock locations work well, I also tried my FT1's in different locations before deciding that they sounded best in the doors right beside the mid. The higher I tried them the more I had to turn them down in order to not overpower the mids. So it you are mounting in pillar I suggest against bullets. But nobody will ultimately be able to tell what sounds best to you until you start experimenting

    SSA's Evil SS Camaro. 4 Evil 15s and 2 DC 7.5ks

Holy chit, I can't wait to see this thing and scared all at the same time. Lol
  18. Nothing exciting but pics of progress, Until I receive a "Shipped" status I will take my time, lol. Love working with birch. Baffle, doubled and rounded inside edges. I have to go get the all thread I will use for bracing. I also will probably be using some 2in hardwood dowel for the vertical bracing so I do not have to run all thread through the port, although that may be a perfectly fine option. I also will probably use solid brass terminals instead of regular zinc plated. I will use 12 posts (one for each coil) so re-wiring can be done without removing subs.
  19. It's bangin, but only with 2. They still have not shipped yet so I guess they won't be here by Friday

    12's over 15's

No need to have that much port area with a 32hz tuning. The port would take up a ton of room too.

    Chop"s 86' Cutlass

Your car brings back lots of memories. I had a 84 Cutlass back in 1996 that had gold 13in Daytons and two 12's in trunk and my little brother had a 84 Cutlass black like yours with a full Red's Hydraulics with 14 batteries, 4 pumps and 4 dumps. Mofo would bunny hop and do 3 wheel while driving down the road straight. We had lots of fun back in the day.
