  1. The passenger has plenty of room, maybe if you well over 6ft you wouldn't want to ride a long trip with him, he just wanted to be able to lean the drivers seat all the way back or install a amp on the port wall. I will be shortening his port to see if he like a higher tuning soon
  2. Thanks guys Super easy, 4 bolts and I can do it in 5 mins by myself. My wife come outside I was carrying the door and I felt like Clyde on "Everywhich way but loose" haha Right turn Clyde..... She just take shakes her head at me.. It will look great when I get it all trimmed out and vinyl on it going with the same theme with the padded black vinyl. Really anxious to hear it.
  3. yes sir, I'm curious how the huge port above my head will sound. I see massive hair tricks coming soon, lol

    8 15's? Dayumm..........
  5. Here is the box I did for my buddies 98 F150 single cab, seat leans all the way back, slot port tuned to 30 hz behind driver seat. Box is 2.30cu ft. He didnt want it covered BTW. Sounds awesome
  6. I started thinking. I really want to almost rewire the whole truck when I run two 5500's. I will want to do 4-5 runs of 2/0 from front to back, add atleast 2-3 group 31 AGM's to rear, deaden roof, and add the 8's to the doors. I am looking to spend atleast another 1500-1750 bucks to do this. Considering I can yank the subs out and remove the box / wall easily I will go ahead and run the 3 on one 5500 till maybe after Thanksgiving or even Christmas. There is so much going on through the holidays I want to get this in and be done for a while. I do not want to leave it be for a couple months while I buy everything. Which could take time since my wife is better off not knowing what I spend on this thing, LOL. So.... The sub arrived today, my dumbass didnt order speaker wire and ring terminlas till last night so I cant hear it till they arrive. I said screw it and put new box in by myself, I have been moving furniture and powerlifting for the last 18 years, surely this little box aint gonna win. haha The measurements are exact and I got alittle lucky really. The trim panels will be very small. There is only maybe .5 inch of play on each side at the top corners. Here are pics and a video. Hopefully it will still get fairly loud on 5500+ watts. It will be wired down to around a .5 ohm. It would be .67 if they were dual 1's but these coils read .6 - .7. I will post more pics and some videos asap.

    voltage display?

I run my stinger from the power, ground and remote directly at the amp. I also have one built in my Radar detector up front but I mainly watch the stinger while demoing.

    11 business day!

Every order I have made has taken right at 30 days. Be patient
  11. Thanks Chop, Sub will be here Wednesday but I am trying to figure how much I want to do. I could throw it on I there now and when I get another amp pull it all out again and rewire. Or just take my time and do it all now while its out. I only have two runs of 1/0 power and one run of 2/0 ground coming from the front. If I run the other 5500 I need to run 3 more runs from the front

    08 Silverado Build

    Nice equipment!
  13. Haha the truck is very large. I'm 5'11, most people have to climb in it. It's a 4wheel drive f250 with a 3in lift and 35in tires. Yeah the old box is a monster, I used every bit of 5 sheets of 3/4 birch to build it. That's 72lbs per sheet too. Lol This new box used 6.5 sheets to build.
  14. Trying to upload pics, iPhone 5 is acting up, the side by side pics show how large this new one is. I am thinking I might should go ahead and deaden roof while its empty and also run a couple more runs of 2/0. Trying to figure a temp way to cover seal rear window behind the wall. Maybe more 1/2 rubber pad fitted. It could be removed later and should help with vibration or rattle

    fi sp4 18 vs ssa Zcon 18

Either will be great, flip a coin! Literally Both subs are amazing and with either one you can be proud to say you have one of the best subs on the market today. From a Customer service standpoint the Zcon hands down. My next build will be SSA
  16. Get the xs intellicharger 1215, it's small and does a great job, I love mine. it can be installed inside vehicle and just run a extension cord out to the car once a week or so
  17. Out with the old

    fi bl vs aq hdc3

The AQ's are known to do better in higher tuned setups or SPL type, the BL's in a proper enclosure will do everything you want. I do not think switching would be an upgrade at all.
  19. Thanks man, your truck sounds incredible. Very very clear and awesome mid bass. Nice to meet you aswell

2003 Dodge Dakota crew with 2 15" Icons

You may be able to add a couple inches to the floor some how and lay the battery on its side. here is how my extra batteries are. Batteries have one run of ground from the front and also grounded to the frame in rear. So the ground from the amp is short and straight to battery. Just a thought since your setup is similar to my current one. I think you will end up ditching the single rear seat and going length of the truck soon. You may not think thats what you want to do now but I give it 3 months till you want either more or want to change it somehow. Thats just the nature of the beast
  21. No pics because I'm too lazy to take any but got the port all rounded, resigned the whole inside and sanded down with a 220 grit. The box is ready for carpet, I am only carpeting the front and sides, beauty panels will cover most but the uncovered areas I wanted black carpet. The sub will be here next week so I gotta get busy on installing all the new wiring, box and trim panels. I will post pics this weekend

    will my amp be underpowered?

whats considered a basic system? under 2000W? XS rates the batteries for what power you plan to run for if its a primary battery (underhood) or if its a secondary battery (in rear). It says 2000-3000 watts. I would say that battery alone in the front should be fine for "up to" 2000 watts of stereo on stock electrical with the big 3 done. Any more and add another battery to the rear and look into a aftermarket alt. Add a volt meter to monitor it to be safe. I would say most "basic" systems out there are under 2000 watts But you won't hear a difference between 14.4 and 12.8 volts. I never said you would, not in his case anyway.
