I have about perfected my grilling techniques though. I have a huge injection needle and a hell of a marinade recipe and rub techiques. I can make steaks and burgers better than any restaurant around here. I would almost even say I would put my fillets against any steakhouse out there...... Yum

My bicep is finally to the point I think I can start lifting again. If I can carry around these subs I think its time. lol Got to get my lazy ass back on track instead of playing beer pong and grilling all the time. lmao

I bet. That's why I use stage cable with a super thick rubber jacket and run it under the vehicle. I hate running multiples under carpet. Hard to make it look decent.

I would love to try and go for a 154 average at 30hz but that 2 minutes straight scares the piss out of me. lol

Yep, only 2.5 DB's away from the WR during the run, but the last 10 seconds was when he lost the rear subs and his average went from 151.3 down to a 150. The other guy held a 154 the whole run but who knows if he was holding back. Very impressive run by Senchez to go at the same 24hz at Jared "The Beast" The format is a 2 minute average at or below 32hz. But you get a .25db bonus for each additional hz below 32 that you play. So they both got a 2 db bonus for playing 24hz. He could have easily did the whole run at say 30hz and maybe done alittle better but who knows. Jared set the record after the bonus with a 156.3 db Senchez ended up at a 152 after the bonus but that losing the last 10 seconds. He would have ended with a 153.5 ish had he been able to finish the run.

That's because the other guy was going for a world record and a couple tenths wasn't going to help senchez

Went great! Me and Senchez both brought back 1st place trophies and a good time. I went in to it with a lead burnt and the plan was just to try and roll into it and get a score and recone after since I needed points. But I tried to demo and killed it, I am reconing them to a dual lead setup. Got my door panels done in a rush but they turned out pretty good. The tweeters have intgrated crossovers at 4khz IIRC. Correct, I have have my head unit running active, I just have them crossed lower at like 2.5k and let the internal xovers do their job.

So I started on my door panels yesterday and got some progress done. I decided not to fiberglass them and just do bolt on pods. Not quite sure how exactly I want to wrap them yet but they can be removed later if I want to or have some fiberglass full panels for me. First thing was to cut huge holes in them, lol I hate cutting on a fairly new truck but whatever Im committed now starting to build up the pods drivers side mocked up pass side mocked up, these are now all glued up and sanded evenly. I am thinking of extending them out all the way across the doors but I have almost no clearance between the seat and pockets. I may paint these with bed liner and then do leather beauty panels over which I have never seen done. Or I could just pad and leather wrap these the way they are and bolt them on. Unsure yet but it has to be completed today as I need tomorrow to put everything back in the truck and clean it up for the show Saturday.

Adding the amp went from right at 8k at .5 to about 13k. at 2ohm strapped.

Yeah that one stumped me but oh well, I have power on tap for about anything I want to run in the future. One thing is for sure it not the equipment holding me back.

The fact I almost doubled power and didnt gain on the meter is weighing heavily on me. I mean shit, I could sell the second amp and do alot with that money. Or just hold out and put that power to good use later when the Tridents come out. At this point its all the enclosure holding the numbers back. I kinda wanted more port area to begin with but really wanted to try this enclosure since it was just sitting at my office. I can bondo and smooth a ton of places but ultimately I think I will rebuild to a more smoothed out design and drivers side port. I should have clamped the amp to see what power I was making but didnt want to see full tilt until I felt comfortable with the subs handling the power. Which they do. It feels stronger but I think I am having massive flex issues between the doors, roof and windshield holding back aswell. I wasnt shooting for a spl or a numbers build but it sure feels good when you meet the goals that you set yourself.
