I knew I liked your name. Lol I'm a huge car guy and love some good ford power. My 2003 Saleen would run 12.6's NA with slicks and built rear. 270rwhp My 1989 Saleen would run 11.6's NA 347 on Drag radials. 400rwhp Our 2003 Cobra would run 9.6's built all to hell and back. Lol 700rwhp My SRT-10 Quad Cab truck was a 11 sec truck on a 175 shot. Made 600rwhp now I'm building boxes and getting loud. My wife seems happier although this hobby seems just as expensive. Haha

I may try a single 15 4th order in a friends trunk. 3 cubes sealed and 6-9 ported section. If I do I'll let u know how it turns out.
-
Nice!! Look forward to seeing it. I like those amps, great for the money!

4th order built in trunk.

Is he running 10 speakers off his headunit? If not he just aint doing it right. He would need atleast 7 tweeters to match your performance.

Very accurate...... from everything I have researched. I will find out November 18th when the first Meca meet is. I will bring my meter and compare it that same day. Here is a thread on **** asking the same.... I am really impressed with it. A great testing device for sure. For the money you cant go wrong. And Shizzon has excellent CS. http://www.****/forum/spl-labs/134507-spl-lab-meter-accurate.html

SPL-Labs Pro Meter

I bet its louder than you realize. I didnt know I would do a 51 at 27hz.......... a 53.2 at 30hz made me smile. Well now you will have to wait till the new mystery subs are installed.
-
Cant wait!
-
They are rated at 80rms and I am running 150rms to them, shit happens...lol. I will order 4 of the 8 ohm versions anyway now.
-
Vids coming in about 15mins, a new build brings new excitement. I did smoke one FT1 today, lol. I thought I smelled subs an turned it down and subs were still cold, found out it was a tweeter...lmao. Oh we'll, this front stage has been struggling to keep up. Time to order shit.....
-
Lol, I have video and pics I will post. Charged the batteries and played around some. All my numbers were generated from music. Didn't play any tones. Did a 151.3 @ 27hz on a slowed version of "in the air". Also did a154.7 @ 34 hz on some other song. The 156.7 was on that song "get out" , gets it down low to 151's at 26hz
-
156.7......on music
-
Dude, seriously. Just unhook all that BS an start reading. You obviously don't have the slightest clue. A head unit will put out maybe 50 watts total. Your frying your head unit with the way it's ran. You order a new SSD and are running it off the head unit? The level of stupidity here is just mind boggling.
-
Cant wait to see whats next........... I will be watching this
-
How are you overworking your alternator if your using the headunit to power all these speakers? You probably have the headunit wired to some crazy ohm load and throwing it into protect.

AQ 3500 or Crescendo Audio BC3500D?
swift replied to kuykendall54's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
I'll take which ever one is given to me, if I am spending my money it's going to Crescendo -
Thanks man, I am very happy so far. If you see in the first post I meet and past my goals with just this single amp. Its stupid loud. I will post some low hz numbers vids and pics later. It may have more in it as again Im not 100% sure where the true peak is and will charge batteries overnight. I bet it has a 54@ 35hz in it
-
Well with no real testing just hooking up the Meter and putting in a song I felt was loud. Results (meter on Dash pass door open, same numbers in kick too) 155.3 on music around 39hz if I remember right. song called "Burr Burr" by Gucci Playing around with tones with low batteries. 155@44hz 154.75@39hz 153.5@35hz 152.10 @30hz 152 @29hz on a Phil Collins song "In the air tonight" With only the single amp and with some voltage drop (deep down into low 12's)) I am very happy. With a second 5500 and another 4 batteries 57's on music may be attainable. Remember I am tuned at 31hz

Planning/parts gathering for my Ram Mega Cab build.
swift replied to Dave88LX's topic in Newbie Sign IN
Very nice truck! Should be able to fit a nice enclosure back there. Look forward to what you do with it. My suggestion is a higher powered sub and nice amp. Something that will sound nice at low volume with the ability to get loud as hell if you want to jam on the interstate or back road. A Zcon 15 and a Crescendo BC2000 would do that nicely. -
Can these overlay or do you have to remove the old caps? I can see myself screwing up my subs trying to put these on. lol
-
Damn those look awesome!!!!!
-
After I meter to see how its doing now I am really looking to up the power. These subs laugh at 2k each. I need another amp badly. I will post another vid of my wife doing hair trick.

I really like your setup. Very nice smooth contours from port out. The bag is so light I could fart and blow it around but I', sure its nasty in person. Good video!
