A simple search on google pulls up a ton of clamp test on them..... Try it -
Why cant we all just be happy with what we have LOL

Damn, that would be nasty

Can't wait for a full review on more power
-
If ported why choose the SD? They are more of a shallow mount sealed type sub. I would do the SA
-
Looks like it compares to a XP3000, price is 30 bucks cheaper though. Need to load test comparison.
-
They are all 4in coils? I wonder if the new coils are longer or if that even matters. I would have just reconed all 4 and had a whole fresh batch of bass :)/>

Deadening will help inside the most. Deadening the box itself probably won't help a lot, you could try it. Maybe a few squares in it. Seems like most of the noise would be a howl just from wind hitting it. Latter racks on trucks cause the same issue. I would give the car the full treatment and try a few sheets in the box itself and just see.

Micksh is in Mansfield so I would ask him
-
CA or CCA (cranking amps or cold cranking amps) would be what to look at for burps or competition style use, AH (amp hours) would be better for long draw on music and demoing. A combination of both would be best. Just look at the biggest AGM battery you can afford and fit really.

Better yet.... Here you go

Should be plenty of people up that way since alot of competitions are held in Ohio. Go to google and search " Hackmunch on c.a.c.o. " That sounds goofy but thats a screen name for a guy on another forum, him and a few others are very knowledgeable and very involved in comps in Ohio. They could definitly help or atleast put you with someone that can help you. Micksh may even be a member on here too, he is also one I would reach out to.

I agree it can be frustrating and its easy to become impatient. But with that said it is super busy right now with all the kids bombarding the place with Christmas money. Be thankful you have one of the owners here answering all your questions and you're not having to rely on email returns from FI. It would be different if you had ordered from some half ass company or some dude on ebay. Just sit back, dont worry and soon you will have some of the best audio equipment available.

Beast man, nice build
-
Nobody here knows what you want to do. Nobody here knows your budget, your equipment, your goals and after that kind of response nobody gives a damn either! So you want the whole forum to post their builds to give you ideas because your too damn lazy to do a search. LOL Good luck with your "Taco"

new pioneer stage 4 HU
swift replied to garychurch84's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
With 31bands of EQ, 4 way active, 5volt preouts that is a bad mofo. I will most likely switch to it this summer. The 80prs is amazing but that one is the bad boy on the block IMO. -
It will sound good, but nothing you put in a small sealed enclosure and give 400 watts will be "loud". Really depends on what you feel is loud though, 130-135db will not be. Its like asking a woman if the average Joe is "strong" ....sure but compared to a Powerlifter he would be weak.

Congrats!!

Fi bl 18s daily ground pounder box build help!!!
swift replied to rowdyful7's topic in SPL & SQ / Fabrication
Yes, go to build logs section and take a look. There are 2 ways to build a wall, like mine which is essentially a large forward firing box that has trim panels all around it then sealed up. To me this is easiest because you can really focus on building the enclosure outside of the vehicle. Then another way is to build it in the vehicle using all the space you can. The baffle would typically go in last and takes more fabrication and planning to end up the way you want. To me this is the option if you need every inch of space. For a truck there really isn't a need. -
Here is a longer 12 min vid of me messing around with the meter showing scores in the kick, on the dash, sealed, etc etc. Not quite as good as the first day. I may need to top off the batteries or just different temps or whatever.

Thanks guys the difference is at least 2-2.5db with both amps at every hz after looking back. Which I'm stoked with, on every type of genre too. Love it. Happy fkn new year!!
