Truck is looking good!! Can't wait to hear it -
MECA i'd say a 58.6 and while fused a 57.4. It ain't easy at the head. That's true, few too many beers last night. Lmao
-
Thats a 160 legal, that shit is strong! Probably around a 160 Meca aswell!!!!

Perfect choice for that X. My brother has 2 x18's on a BC2000 at .5 ohm and they hardly move. He needs a second one to see the potential of them.

I heard this thing did Huge numbers today!! Congrats!!!!

I was running 3500 per sub and likely clipping some. The issues where not the subs fault by any means. Hence why I have never really mentioned it, no reason to. Love the Ethos

I set my gains with a 0 db 40hz track with a Fluke 123 Scopemeter, but most of my demo music is around 30hz -3bd tracks. Maybe I clip at 30, when I put everything back in I will set my gain with a 30hz track and see if it clips sooner. My subs never had issues burping or with 2k clamped rms going to them as designed. My issue happened after demoing with close to double rms and likely clipping on the low notes . Regardless I love the subs and don't plan on changing anytime soon. These are some badass subs

Maybe I just don't know what I'm doing

Those clubs are a HUGE ripoff. Boat collection is strange too. Nah, I know a few people in it and they all love it! A nice boat would cost way more to actually own, plus they retire boats after 2-3 years so the fleet always stays new. Me and a friend are gonna spit the family deal, its like 2300 up front and around 350 per month split between the two of us so thats not bad at all. The 2300 is a one time fee so if you had the account even only 3-5 years your coming out good. They are on 3 lakes around here too. What I like is that me and a friend could get a ski boat from 7am to 1 or so then go back and meet the family at the dock and switch over to a big tritoon pontoon boat to go relax till dark. Then I dont have to clean nothing, tow anything back home etc. Be back the next day for a different boat to try. The key is using the boats as much as you can. If you only go once a month it might not make sense, but to me neither would actually buying a boat and not using it. I like that I could leave work early and take a few of my guys over and grab a badass ski boat for the afternoon and us act a fool. Or take a new client out for the day, seems like a good marketing expense for us The good thing is the lake is 5 minutes away and they dont allow boats to be parked in my subdivision and dock rental is high as hell.

I would do a single 8 dedicated midbass atleast. Something you can cross at say 50hz to 250hz

I may join the Nashville Boat club. Pay a one time fee up front, then so much per month and get access to any of these boats whenever you want. http://nashvilleboatclub.net/percy-priest-fleet/

Mike Smiley did his build. Did a good job too, I cant knock it, its loud as piss.

Looks like its going well. The best moment will be that first ride in the truck after finishing a huge build and enjoying your own hard work. Looks great. While everything is out I would look into doing a 8in midbass in the kick panels if possible. The Nendo 8's really lack in that department, other than that great job

It's chile, whatever the spelling lol

My grinder rocks. Honestly, this may sound crazy but my injection consist of Beer, chicken stock, dales sauce, touch of apple cider and a watered down barbecue sauce. Plumps the steak up like a balloon, then my rub (onion powder, garlic, salt, chili powder and top with brown sugar) Knock it all you want but the mofo is delicious

I will check out the kosher salt. I just dont hardly use much because my blood pressure.

Yeah I would think that could cause a problem. Only one way to find out but I honestly wouldnt even try it

lmao, I do not cook moisture out of my steaks except for my granny who wants her shit burnt regardless what type of steak it is. I was giving brief descriptions of what I do, trust me I know how to cook a steak. I cook for about 20 people every single weekend and have since me and my wife got married 15 years ago. I do not put any salt inside the meat, or any other type of powder substance. If any salt goes on its on the outside. I let all my steaks rest after cooking, I have alot of different ways I will cook them based on what people ask for or what mood we are all in. After watching every episode of Pit Masters I started experimenting with different techniques and am hooked. Your personal taste of how a steak should be cooked or its flavor may be totally different than someone elses. What seems strange to me is you assuming that your way of cooking a steak is the only "right" way. I was just sharing what I like to do, nothing more. But I'm not so close minded that I think my way is the best and only way something should be done so I will look into the Kosher salt and try some of your recommendations on my next steak night. But to say your cooking a steak wrong if you have to inject it is just wrong. I dont "have" to inject it at all, but right now I am loving what I'm doing at the moment and will continue. I grew up eating southern style food so our tastes may be completely different.

It can make the sub unload into the port not utilizing all the airspace inside and would be noticeable on the lows. Just depends on the layout but if your saying the sub would be right beside the port opening inside this could happen easily.
-
The last rub I do is mainly brown sugar. Caramelizes nicely and traps all flavor in. I do switch it up though, depending on the mood we are in. Tons of different ways to go about it. Everyone that sees me prep the meat is always alittle skeptical but never have I had them not say its the best steak they ever ate. My injections always include chicken stock
-
You don't need to inject a filet Thats what I always said until I started doing it. As far as salt goes if I use any its ground sea salt. But rarely do I use it, I do use a seasoning salt though. I do a rub, then inject, then another rub then it goes in the fridge for one hour or more if there is time. Then she gets seared before grilled to a medium rare - medium. I only use a thermostat and never cut into the steak to know when its ready. I dont inject my burgers but pat them out with the marinade mixed in, then a rub and then it goes in the fridge for 30 minutes before hitting the grill.
