    79 C30 Dually

Thanks guys, keeping this budget to 1000 bucks. I already have a Die Hard plat group 31 going under hood, BC 2000 and all wiring and fuses I could ever need. So that leaves components, 2 channel amp for them, subs and head unit. Now I am considering doing 4 Sundown SD10's sealed and run them of the bc2000. I am limited to a shitty slim truck box. They are only 4.75 mounting depth so maybe this is my best choice. Would sound awesome on Rock but unsure about..... May even try out those sundown Sa6.5 components, alpine type R's or back to the JL C3 series that I know sound good. Decisions.
  2. I was thinking you were asking about the 1500's. Sorry
  3. Reliability should be similar with all of them. Personally I would run the crescendo bc2000 for less money.

Thanks, I just love messing with these old cars and trucks. I also prefer the pre 72 stuff but with the low miles and how complete this dually is figured I would grab it. My 71 could have been worth 20k if it had vintage air and a couple minor things. But I had 14k in it where it was and this dually puts alittle money in my pocket and much nicer driver. I will be ordering a full bag setup for this asap. Doubt I will make it lay frame but want to it to get and ride very low and also be able to raise it and pull my trailers locally. Its already C-notched, just may need to notch the bed too. These square bodys are becoming more and more popular. Good thing is that anytime I want to trade this one for another older C10 I can. My friend has maybe 20 of them right now, haha.

That's a friends dually, he has tons of money wrapped up in that one. It's badass though. I went ahead and grabbed up this dually while I could. You just don't find them in this condition anymore.

I know its fun and addictive, my wife just shakes her head at this point and almost doesnt even know what is actually mine anymore, haha. I love my 71 but something about this Dually I just think its wicked looking. Once my buddy decided to sell it I figured I would drive it ad think it over. This would be a good one to actually drive daily as where my 71 just sits alot and only gets out when pretty

Cant decide, I may trade my 71 for this 79 Dually? My 71 = fresh 355cu, TH400, all new interior, new paint. NO AC NO HEAT The 79 C30 - 49k original miles, 454cu, TH400, everything works, Ice cold AC, highly optioned truck and has had nice money put into doing the suspension the right way.

The looks of the stingray are growing on me. I just like the fact that my stock station wagon can produce the same times. But I'm sure just like any other Magazine tested car the numbers are fairly conservative and actual owners will be dipping into the 11's with good drivers and good air. There is a new Stingray that has been to our local cars and coffee every week. Some GM executive. They look better in person I think. This was Motor trend testing Without exploiting launch control, which is handy but beatable, we clocked a best sprint to 60 mph of 3.9 seconds and 12.2 seconds at 117 mph in the quarter-mile. In case you’ve fallen behind on your stat-keeping, this is elite territory: about the same as the outgoing Corvette 427 convertible, a few tenths quicker than the Grand Sport, and faster than any Porsche Boxster or Cayman we’ve tested.

If you are the ideal person to hire for any full time position then they would rather hire you then continue to go through the temp service. They probably have some sort of agreement or length of time that they must go through the temp service before they can officially hire. You just need to ask and be vocal about making the transition and try to find out what needs to be done. The temp service is making money off you working also.

I know I am alittle biased but you should tell them go drive a CTS-V, 2 door or 4 it don't matter. They are truly awesome driver cars and the stock power would satisfy 90% of people.

Took the wagon to the local 1/8th mile track last night to get a baseline before any mods. Car ran 7.9@90mph at a weight of 4650lbs with me in it with a DA of 1900ft. Not bad for a stock station wagon.

Carpet glue on box how to remove?

You need some 60 grit all purpose sandpaper and a nice palm or belt sander. Change paper often, you could have it smooth in no time. Surely your not trying to sand it by hand?
  21. Just had to get back in a old truck. Traded my 60 Biscayne for this well done 71 C10. It's a mild 355cu and a TH400 trans. All new interior, paint is only a couple years old. I was alittle unsure of the wheels but after having it a couple days and the reaction this truck gets I think I will just lower it more and leave it alone. I really like this 70's muscle look. Out with the old In with the new Needs some sounds although the cam sounds killer in this truck. Looks like a head unit, 4 channel and components are in order.
  22. Looks good, should get louder once broke in.
