I know this has drug out, BUT I have taken the rear seats out, and ordered some knu 16 gauge to run wire for the front stage. Really fighting with my self mentally about what to do. Another 3 18's in the wall and horns under dash and door panels again. Or the single DSS 15 on the 2k and just a nice component set up front. Either way its going to be a clean install and sound good. Once the 16ga gets hear I will start. I will have pics in the next few days and shit will be playing. One arm or not I'm installing something. If I do the wall it would likely be 3 Sundown X18's on two BC2000's strapped. Should be good enough for 54's and be a lowend monster. With 20cu tuned at 31hz shit gets down for sure. It was doing 56's with a single 5500 But I love this DSS sub and considering the deal I got on it I will be using it in something and also running it through the lanes supporting Q!!

Alot of car audio shops are setup that way. I know here my buddy managed one and his install guys had their own tools and section of the shop. They may have even rented their bays kinda like at how barbers just rent the chairs and have their own loyal customers.

Might aswell go in Walmart and go all Kicker. lmao Ive seen some dumb shit, but this is at the top. Hell I'm not sure I would do that even if Soundstream was sponsoring my vehicle and it was all free.

I want it at 32. 35 is a rough estimate because the hifonics amp goes 30 to 250 so im not really sure spot is correct. Just try to get as close as possible. You clearly dont have a clue what your doing. First you need to educate yourself as to what the settings are for on an amp before messing with them. The LPF means it shuts off all frequencies above that setting. So if you did set it at 32 it will not play any bass at 35, 40, 45hz etc. You need to turn the LPF dial to between 80 and 100. The SSF will not let the sub play anything below what its set to. So generally you would want to set it around 25 or so unless your box is tuned higher.

diehard platinum battery question
swift replied to TravTravStuntAlotHamilton's topic in General Audio
Nope, you need one up front and atleast 4 of them in the rear. I ran a two 5500's with a 370amp alt and had 8 batteries(4 group 31's and 4 group 34's) to stay in good range. -

good progress big dog -
Your recommending him do the big 3 so he can hear and feel the lows better?????? lmao.......ok OP, a single SSD 15 and a 1k watt amp would do the trick just fine. I would do the big 3 and maybe a bigger battery up front (it wont help your lows any, lol but would help voltage some)
-
Thats awesome big man, how do the lows sound in there? Anxious to get mine going and I'm tuned low (29)

OP, You are completely wrong about the Q vs SP4 debate. My setups consisted of in order of which they were installed. one 15in Q, then went to two 18in Q's, then went to two 18in SP4's, then went to three 18in SP4's. My main complaint of the Q setup when I ran the single 15 was it severly lacked the upper range (45-60hz) But it was in a low tuned enclosure. The SP4's are far superior in every aspect when compared to the Q's. Your install is the problem.

Just look at tutorials on you tube and practice on some cardboard boxes. We can tell you how to do it but unless you practice it wont matter. Practicing is the only way to get decent at it.

Thanks man, I plan to do the same wall setup in my new truck and more than likely will run ES horns again. This time I will be running Sundown X's in the wall unless the new DSS 18's will like the space I have. My wall is 20cu net tuned at 31hz and 277sqin of port. I could add blocks in it but that would raise tuning and I like them lows. lol I also have plans for the bad ass 15in Ethos sub sitting here.

good luck and thanks for the review

Couple pics of my friend 54 that is at my house for awhile till he makes room for it. Truck is badass, 350/350, s10 frame, PS, PB, tilt wheel etc. Truck has been on the power tour and could be driven anywhere.

Need a custom box for a 2012 silverado extended cab

Does no one do their own research or even find out measurements of their own fucking vehicle? lol From your posts its clear your a lazy cheap ass that expects people to do shit for you. How would you even know someone was giving you a good design without trying to gain some knowledge yourself? -
The SD8's will not have the output those JL's do.

Sealed a SD10 would probably do better. I thought the SA's were deep
