Burp deck: A electrical device that is connected from the rear of an automotive vehicle that is only utilized in competition while performing ones peak score for the termlab spl meter that serves as the medium between audio frequency that is played back into the amplifiers. LMAO!!

Welcome from just below you in TN.

Sorry this build is so slow. Since my Father n law passed away on my birthday the 31st it has been rough on us here. He was like a dad to me and we were very close. Between that and people owing me money it's slow roll. So far I have 4 18's 4 group 31's Rockford pro tweeters Crescendo 1100.4 now that my IA blew. Got to get 4 more batteries, mids and the sub amp. It will likely be a Crossfire 8k. Really hoping to start on this very soon.

I will say that DreDay's Magnum sounds killer and puts up good numbers. His 4 18's is a 1:2 ratio. His sealed section is 20cu and his ported section is 10cu and it plays really flat and good. So I think its all trial and era and vehicle specific

Too Low? or Too High? Tuning Frequency Questions
swift replied to IceBroBass's topic in SPL & SQ / Fabrication
Way too big IMO. I would do no more than 14-15cu ft with around 175-180 sq in of port. It will be very peaky with that much port and only 3k watts. People can say go huge port etc etc but musically it will not sound as good. -
Don't know what amp to buy for fully loaded fi bl 15
swift replied to Berizzle352's topic in Fi Technical
Needs to be measured at your max playing volume. Also if the box is tuned to say 32hz then a typically it will draw most current well above or below tuning. A test tone of around 45hz playing and rolling volume up to your max listening volume would really show how strong your electrical is. But none of this matters since your voltage will not make the sub start making clapping noises. -

Any good shop should just add in the 30 dollar volt meter and show someone what to watch for. Dont understand why shops Never do this. Guess thats why I do 100% of all my builds -

Not the clapping sound no. If the port is too large and the sub is unloading into the port it could be bottoming out. Post a pic of the enclosure so we can see. My brother kept thinking he blew his X18's and when I checked it out it was his side window flapping like crazy because it blew the seal around the window. lol I would check everything out before buying a amp as it doesnt sound like a amp problem to me. -

Where is the gain on the amp? You say clipping at high volume sounding like loud clapping? That doesn't sound like clipping to me, sound like a sub issue (box or sub) I am assuming you have a pioneer head unit since you say the volume goes to 62? I would turn gain on amp all the way down, play the loudest bass song you have and crank it to around 52, then slowly turn gain on amp up until you hear a slight distortion and the back gain down until it's clean and leave it there. -

Build is taking longer than I wanted but we are slammed at work, my father-n-law is in hospice and doesnt have much longer and also money is alittle tight right now. On top of all that I blew my Incriminator 6.4 and the Pioneer 80PRS has a couple RCA's out on it. Sucks!! But I have 3 Platinum Gp31's and will be getting 3-5 more of them. 3 Subs have arrived just waiting on the 4th, Tweeters are here. So I still need to grab a strong 4 channel (will either be a CT sounds 125x4 or a Sundown 125x4. Send off the 80Prs for repair. So I think the direction this will go is... 4 18in Ethos walled B pillar Crossfire 8k, add a 2nd one next year. Mechman or Singer alt (biggest available) 250ft of 2/0, 8 Group 31's and intellicharger mounted Sundown Neo Pro 8's or Rockford PA 10's Rockford Punch Pro tweeters This will be a Demo / Comp / daily driver setup sorta like my last build. Roll through the lanes and put up big numbers and demo/ hairtick monster in the parking lot. Hopefully I can get some build pics going soon. Gonna try for a big number on a single amp while staying tuned low

Hell yeah, I have a goal that should be attainable under 40hz.
-
They are gonna get loud and low that's for sure:)
