i found some dimension on another forum. one ? What is the Cut out for Fi Q 12, is it 11" 3/8? Thats the only thing that I don't have.

1.9 ft^3 was just a estimate. Anything between 1.8 and 2.0 cu ft. Tuned to 30hz , if that possible. I was using the RE box calculator and I seen that it was posible. but I is their any site or post on the forum where I can get some measurements. Once I get the measurments, wood , glue, screws, I should be cool. I can get my dad to help me even though he don't like loud music and he would have no Idea why the hell im making the box. But He can help me . I just need some measurements or a site that has some dimensions scetched out. thanks

ok, I'm about to attempt to build my first enclosure for Fi Q 12. 1.9ft ^3 tuned 30hz. Where can I get demensions and what items do I need. Such as brands of glue, type of screws, etc. If I Take mesurements to Home Depo, Will they cut the pieces for me? Is it difficult to make a Enclosure, I read that its pretty easy.

You all are right, I was just wondering if it could be done, I guess I'm going to get Fi Q or Fi BL. Still can't decide. I know Fi Q is SQ and Fi BL is SPL, but I want it to sound good and bang when I want to also. I want to scare the shit out of people when then get in my car. lol but also sound good when I play R&B and jazz. I listen to everything except Rock. I was reading that people were hitting 140 db with one Fi Q 12" . I know it all has to do with the install but if I can hit anywhere near 140db, I'll be happy. Im only getting one 12" , and I have Rockford P1000-1.

I have a blown Pioneer Premier w3002 D2 and I wanted to know , could I get a recone for this sub with Fi parts. Its 1000rms.

quick ? This is the first sub that I'm planing to purchase that has the option Dual 1 or Dual 2. You know most sub are Dual 2 and Dual 4 . Im planing on getting a BTL 12, only one and wire it down to 1 ohm. I usually get Dual 2 , So do I still choose Dual 2? and How do you wire a single Dual 1? Thanks

Probably with the proper Battery, that just don't sound safe. I would lose sleep at night wondering if my car is going to start in the morning. Also I don't want my battery to give up on me in the wrong neighborhood, Im from Philly so I got to have my set up correct.

ok, I was about to buy a 12 Fi BTL, I currently have a Rockford P1000 and the SSF is automatically set for 27hz. So what you guys are saying is that I would have to have a box tuned to 2-3hz above the SSF freq to avoid this problem? Is that correct? As much as I have been on these forums the past couple months, I suprised that i have not come across this information. This should be posted on the Fi site cus people are probably damaging there subs if their amp SSF is not adjustable or not set correctly. Correct me if what I got from this is wrong.

My car Volvo 960 1996 , battery size is Group 47/48 , Do you guys know if a Kinetic 1800hc can fit under the hood, or any XS Power battery that can support 1800 rms? I currently have a Deka 647mf and the manufacturer said that it can support aftermarket electronics but I don't know to what limit.

I have a Rockford 1000bd, and I'm getting a box made 2.0cu ft tuned to 33hz. What sub will have a better output as far as SPL. 12" Fi Bl or (underpowered) Btl? The reason that I ask is because I don't want to spend the money to get a HO alt for this particular car. Volvo 1996 960. I currently have a 120 amp alt. I have a Pioneer Premier w3001 1000rms. and before I got the Rockford P1000, I had a Trash ass sony Xplod amp 400rms, which was from my last set up. the trash ass xplod amp and my old Kenwood 3012 400rms, sound completely better than the xplod and Pioneer Premier set up. So this is reason Im asking, I don't want to get a BTL and have it sound like trash. So what should I do? BL vs BTL (underpowered). Thanks dudes

thanks dudes, I think im going to go with the BL. I have a DD dealer near me also but I read a lot of great reviews of the Fi bl 's.

I'm looking for the best overall SQ and SPL, a good balance. I'm only getting one sub cus I don't really have the space for 2. But I'm getting a custom box built around 2.0 cu ft. Tuned around 33hz. I have a Rockford 1000bd-1 (birthsheet 1373rms at 14.4v) . Wired to 1 ohm. Don't say Fi Bl just because your a Fi fan, I need to know which sub is better. THanks
