-
soooo good. i do believe you exceeded your goals, by far
-
haha about the chicks. that thing thumps man.
-
what mp should i run? 1500 kicker or the 1700 brutus at 2 ohms?

500's for 1500 watts at 2... you can get an alpine m2000 for 420 brand new -
hah maybe if i get really bored, i have trouble keeping up with my internet site as it is. ex: facebook, here, and thecomeupbmx.net
-
uhhh yeah me too. im 16 though thanks for the info, guess i need to do my homework more thoroughly hah
-
i put it in the back. this is my old setup. slid in perfectly beside it. and this one is the new box/amp while i was building it yesterday, just barely enough room to squeeze it in the batter is in the same place just behind the box

so i've got up to 15 high x 32 wide x 20 deep to build an enclosure for my fi btl 12; it'd be going in the back of my jeep liberty. and im planning on using this sub daily on an alpine m2000 that i just got and the birth sheet says it'll put out 2274 watts, so i'll be playing it at its max. but i also want to start entering the local spl comps and i know the fi site says that 30-35 hz is where it should be and 32 is optimal, but i was wondering what would be the loudest hz for my application? thanks in advance
-
been thinkin about the same thing. but all the ones they have on there ebay store are for 2.8 Liters and i've got a 3.7 so i'd have to further contact them to see if they make them for my size motor or go with another company

its really nice man. really good for daily, so far. havent been metered yet though. i gotta keep it turned down till i really wanna crank it though since as we talked about in the other post about voltage dropping. it does drop to like low 10s sometime and the bass just kinda fades off. kinda sucks but i'll get that new alt soon enough
-
ugh, thanks anyways, even though it's sour news. i might just say screw my amateur level and put a 2 or 3 big kinetics in the back and get a h/0 alt
-
ha dude, i just got my fi btl 12 fully loaded to put in my jeep liberty, but im powering it by an alpine m2000 i made my dims. 42 x 13 tall x 14 deep with a 2.5 wide port X 17.5 length tuned to about 36 hz made it a little higher because it'll be louder when i compete EDIT: btw the net is like 2.69 cubes while the gross volume is like 3.34 cubes
-
thanks, that helped a lot. could someone send me a 50 hz and 1000 hz test tone?

good looking sub man, i cant wait to get my btl 12 on tuesday! -
alright, well once i get it all installed the next thing i'll buy is a alt. any suggestions on those? i know iraggi is used a lot but any others?
-
well if you read what i said i already have the big 3 and the 0 gauge from the front to back, 2 runs of it. and honestly i dont know how many amps my alt is. i've tried looking online and in the manual and i cant find it.\ EDIT: it's 136 amp
-
okay then what should i upgrade on my electrical?
-
i'm thinking my electrical system will hold up. i've got the big 3, extra battery with 0 g ran to it, and i'll have 0 g goin to the amp. i'm planning on buying a xs or kinetic batt as soon as i get some more money, but this build is killin me, since im just 16 and i go to school and cant work as much
-
looks real good man, a beaut
-
that will be real tight, since the lowest you should go with 2 15"s is 6 cubes w/o sub displacement or port, or you could wall it and make things more interesting
-
You gotta a good amp considering you need the power at 2 ohms, dont forget pictures of the install. thanks, that's what i was thinking because the m2000 inst stable at 1 ohm and that power at 2 ohms will be sweet. i'll post pics as soon as my btl ships
-
okay, so i've got a fi btl 12 fully loaded. but i dont know which amp to put on it, i want to use it for daily driving but also be able to put up some numbers in the spl comps please help me out thanks
