IMO if you're looking for big db numbers, maybe you should look for pure spl subs. But, if you really want low and deep bass, the 18" Xcon is a Wonderful choice!!! Be careful, you can make people hate you with a setup like that(18" xcon on a 1500-2000 watts amp) :)

The bl is a great great sub : you will loooove it !!! Put the extra money on it and look for a good deal on an amp. Try to find a refurb Sundown 1000 or 1500 at db-r.com. Or find a used one. But the AQ will do the job. Other ideas for amps : Mb Quart has some cheap amps that are not so bad at all, Cadence, even the Alpine pdx 1000 The choice is yours OP!

Use your amp to power the front speakers. You don't need rear speakers, they can't improve your system.

I know VW Golf sound very good. In Bulgaria, it should be easy to find one in a good shape. They're strong and reliable. You can fit more sub/amps/batts in it !and still have passengers. The pandas are not comfortable at all, and I don,t think you will find parts for upgrades.

Americans don't buy american cars no more. Beautiful cars are german, budget cars are japanese. "They" needed to do something. I really don't think Toyota can have such brake problem on quite ALL their cars. In european countries Toyota calls back a lot of models : yaris, auris, prius,... Now it sounds like a little marketing trick to show how they care. BTW in France you must have pass a written exam, you need.at least 35 pts on 40. Then you Must have 20 hours minimum of driving lessons to go to the driving exam. 90% of the cars have manual transmission. Automatic is for people with handicap, or rich drivers. Always an option on cars.

You can get an Icon 12" DVC1 and the 1200 watts amp. You will be able to add a 2nd DVC1 Icon later. But just one Icon and a 1000 watts amp should please you !!! Good luck !

2 icons will rock ! But one 15" xcon will love this amp ! The one sub solution is cheaper, and takes less room. Good luck
