If you have a drill, electric jigsaw, and some mdf you can make your own for next to nothing. When you install the new speakers make sure that the sheet metal panel they're being mounted to is sealed so it doesn't have any large openings or that will kill your midbass. Part of the issue could be the content you used to originally set the gain. IE: dubstep music boosts bass levels, and metal music doesn't. So if you set the gain with dubstep than that's why when you max it out the metal music still seems lacking. You could reset the gain, use metal music or music that isn't bass heavy, and use the remote knob to lower the volume for dubstep. When you set the gain you could also raise the bass level on the deck, so you have more headroom for turning it down on dubstep. Of all the drivers I've used, BL, dcon, icon, xcon I've always been happy with the LPF set in the 50hz region, like you said, past that and the sound became muddy (IMO). Your problem is midbass, not the subwoofer. I would focus on upgrading your front stage, and sound deadening the front doors.

Most of the welding done on pipeline is going to be TIG. I've been wanting to go back to school for a full AWS certification and thought about starting this fall.I can't remember which, but one of the guys I use to ride dirt bikes with did work on boats or nuclear facilities since he had some certification, and he was living pretty comfortably.

Where's the LPF low pass filter and SSF subsonic filter set on the sundown amp? If you could shorten the length of port then yes that would raise tuning, but I wouldn't consider that yet. I don't know how serious you are about competing, but let me point some things out. Power (watts) = Voltage x Amperage. 2000 watts = 14v x 143a 2288 watts = 16v x 143a When amperage is constant, going from 14v to 16v yields an additional 288watts. Say you have a high output alternator, so you can supply 300 amps. 300amps x 2v (difference between each) = 600watts. 4800watts (16v) vs 4200watts (14v) The maximum potential increase in output for each scenario is 0.58dB After the cost and time involved for setting up a 14v nominal charging system is that increase in output still worth it to you? Welcome to the law of diminishing returns. You would be better off focusing on your enclosure alignment rather than the most inefficient method to increasing output. -- Since you don't have enough amperage for that amplifier to begin with and the idea of running less power so you don't have to buy a new alt or batteries is asinine, I would upgrade the alternator, and get adequate wire.
