Instead of 21, could we change it to 22 and make the 36 back to 35? There going to be upfiring so I have the most space going up (if that makes sense )
-
yes subs up, port up. These are the max dimensions except for the 19", lets change the 19" to 21" So the displacement would be 4.72548cubes 4.72 - port displacement - subs displacement(0.28) - bracing = ~4-4.4cubes? I'm guessing net displacement could be around 4 to 4.4cubes if we change the 19" to 21" Hows that sound?
-
I'm guessing your going to make a sealed box? Take some measurements and we can tell you the volume your working with
-
what is your budget as well as what M5 said
-
sounds like an awesome girl Another happy ssa customer
-
what would be an estimated time? 2weeks?
-
I agree with bangin' gmc, the weight difference between a 18" and 15" sub + enclosure isn't enough to make your car any quicker. Perhaps you could add some performance parts? Cold air intake, k&n air filter won't cost much. Good luck

thanks for uploading video Looking good, im really curious to hear a sa-8 in real life, but hopefully next month I'll hear my sa-12's Have you had other 8" drivers before the sundown? If so, how would you compare them?

Dodge Ram high amp alternator
ssh replied to patton3275's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
Heres a mechman: MechMan.com - High Output Alternators, AGM Batteries, 12- & 16-volt Charging Systems for Car Audio $600 though I've also heard some alternators made for durango's can work too, but i'd look into that more before buying -
Want me to resize the corner one (which I agree looks better ) and save it as a psd?

your voltage is fine, If it's not too much of a hassle try to ground it to another spot. -
it's pretty simple and I don't know if you guys are still looking for stuff but here ya go anyways

don't type in all caps, it's annoying. Do you have a dmm, make sure your voltage isn't dropping really low, this could fry your amp and im assuming put it into protect mode. When you turned your car on your headunit turned on and turned back off? If so then your amp most likely isn't the problem, but something electrical. So will your headunit stay on and play music to anything not connected to your amp? -
I suggest you read through the forum and you'll find answers to all your questions. What did you research for five months? Heres a link on the Big 3 I wouldn't suggest building an enclosure if you don't trust yourself enough to do the rest, unless your good at carpentry or something. Having a good enclosure makes all the difference.

Why don't you measure your space and give accurate measurements so you don't get a box built that won't fit. If your unsure about your measurements then get some cardboard and make a mockup box and see if it fits.
-
the nice part about having them downfire if I go that route is then I can put my backpack on top of the box That's about all I need to carry
-
my subs are going to be upfiring (towards roof), would it sound best to have the port facing the rear of car? or facing roof (same direction as subs)? Or does it even matter? This is going in a 2door jeep wrangler. Thanks
-
yeah, everyone loves sundown for their product and customer service. If I got the sa-12's itd match the amp and I can always throw more power to them with a bigger amp down the road. I'm leaning towards the sa's once again
-
I'm planning on putting two sa-12's in. Is there a formula I can use to find the distance needed between the cone and floor of jeep? I'll be powering it with a sae-1200d (1200watts)

IA LI's hmm so many choices
