help / reccomendation single SA8 box

The SA-8 isn't a magical driver that can provide the same bass as larger drivers can but just smaller. But for being an 8" driver it's awesome. What amp are you using? Your enclosure is sealed? Is (26x12x18) your trunk space? Perhaps if you make a larger enclosure (ported) and run less power then it won't go out of its excursion and you won't lose bass.

    SA-12's sealed?

I'd get two 12's if you have the room to go ported. Or even a single 12" ported

    95 Eclipse Father/Son Project

So do we!!!! Seems that when we get one thing done there's 10 more to do. Guess that's what you should expect when you buy a project car like this one. Cast stereo? We got some of that coming. We just havn't got to that point yet. Motor completed, suspension, finished brakes today will be posting pics. Center console in the works. Stay Tuned!! I know exactly how you feel, I've added and replaced so much on my vehicle.

Where can I get some SA-12s???

I'm going from a sealed 10" type-r to 2 sa12s in a ported box, so it's definitely going to be a big difference for me
  10. That's some serious flex man, looking good Can't wait to see some numbers from a tl
  11. Is 12gauge speaker wire sufficient for running a saz-1500d to sa12s. I'll be running the amp at 1ohm. Speaker wire is about 4feet in length. If it can't handle that much power then can I just double it up and run two strands for each positive and another two for the negative.
  12. ssh

    12gauge speaker wire, enough?

i'm not competing or trying to raise it a couple db's

  18. The new 1500 Constant Power amps do 1000rms at 4 ohms. My mistake, didn't see the new model. That's different, an amp that does 1500watts at 2ohms or 1ohm... If you think you might want to upgrade your subwoofer down the road than I'd get an amp that makes even more power and then you'll have plenty of headroom (and since money isn't an issue )

    1997 Jeep Wrangler

I haven't been able to really test my electrical with the new amp, probably only running ~500watts and my voltage is staying around 13.7-13.9 so we shall see how much lower it drops when the sa12s are in
  20. ssh

Where can I get some SA-12s???

    Yeah that's perfect.
  21. You don't need to buy a more expensive amp so you run 1000watts at 4ohms, 1ohm is fine. But the T1500 only does 500watts at 4ohms, not a 1000. It also does 1500watts at 1ohm
