60v is way too high, if your doing it by a dmm... then it should be around 38v sqrt(1ohmX1500) Try 38v and see how that sounds, may have to adjust it more or less.

Enclosure Build for Mr. Bojangles (Six 10 Inch Sundown SA 10s)
ssh replied to Argent Audio's topic in Argent Audio
That box is awesome all on it's own! I can already feel the bass Good Job as always Andrew -
You can push a lot through 80amp anl fuse type before it blows, just enough time to get metered. If you end up with a bigger amp, do some timed testing with a few 80amp fuses. Goodluck, I'll be looking for some pics from the show

The optimal setup for a 12" dcon would be 2.25cuft, but 2cuft would still be good 25hz sounds good. Let us know how it goes and post a video, me like pictures too

thanks for the informative write up, I was aware that if the vibrations were soaked up by some material that it is converted into heat and thus possibly db loss, I'm not competing and my roof does not actually make any noise while flexing guess I was just looking for an fix to brace it but doesn't sound simple unless I start doing some welding inside I'll just stick to sound deadening everything else

Looks like you recorded a dark room with a lcd screen but I bet you already knew that haha

Limit on amount of sirens for this alarm?
ssh replied to mrbojang's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
Hahaha. Good idea. I'm being completely serious too You can use the alarm system as a trigger, now you just need to figure out how to send a signal for xxx amount of seconds to your amp then shut off. you would have an extra remote turn on and rca going to amp, alarm triggers a power source sent to amp for turn on, use ysplitter so you can feed your hu signal and new "annoying hertz" signal from some device. Just gotta work on starting and stopping some device -

Wire it so that if the alarm is tripped then all your sa's play a 35hz tone for 10 seconds -
Are you able to get any transportation? I live in Tucson, which is about an hour and a half drive away.

well since i don't want him knowing that i am here quite yet, i want to surprise him with all my new found knowledge, i will tell you, but in private message only, if that ok(i know it sounds childish but i'm sick of being treated like i know nothing) and he just got on of the fi 12 inch btl(i think thats it name) i am sorry if it wrong anyway and he got a new amp by sa2-2000d(thats what the box says) and it was heavy You are awesome. why am i so awesome? Not very many wives, girlfriends, mistresses, etc would go this far to learn something that interests their husband. I just think that you taking initiative to learn all this is really cool. well ya he is trying to learn how to shoot archery so he can come hunting with my family and i, so i figured i would try to learn this so we have a summer hobby together. and he is horrible, but he is trying and i understand how hard it is to learn something that is completely foreign. Well that's cool for the both of you He picked the right place to learn about car audio too
