I figured it was. How do i do the whole sending the sub in && How long do you think itd take? && Whats the price? go to the fi forum. they will help you out there. the price is on their sight and to send it in i hope you have the original packaging i dont have the original packaging.. Then package it well... Build a box out of wood to secure it, and use those foam pool toys (the long strings with a hole through them) and cut those and place around driver and box so there's no "play" and ship away
  2. sundown amps strapped use settings on master amp, so you set everything on master and the slave copies it
  3. WTF, I was just there two days ago... Good luck Mark, I'll be expecting a video or something
  4. Alright thanks, I knew it needed power and ground, and some amps do not require a remote turn on so wasn't sure if the slave needed still needed it.
  5. Two amps strapped (saz1500d), does the slave need a remote turn on wire as well? Or does it power on from br in? Thanks
  6. Why would you buy a product made for a specific application and use it in the wrong application type and know you would clip it bottom out drivers and burn voice coils? Why why why
  7. what size fi ssd? If it's going to be a 12" then a pair of 12" X's will have more cone area, if install is done correctly then I would put my money on the X's being louder. Using more power to gain output is the least efficient way. How much space do you have to work with? dimensions or volume
  8. alright thanks i think i will stick with the 15" because it will have the proper enclosure size good decision, a lot of people try to fit the biggest thing they can but don't have the right volume requirements...
  9. I don't have permission to vote, but I"d say sundown ftmfw!

Im not exact on what i want, but 28 is a little high Im talking to a trusted source on what i should tune to. lol ill get back to that hopefully soon! YES!!!

I like the front grill area

What are you tuning your enclosure to? 28hz?
  13. You could 16"x16"x16" with 0.75" mdf that would put you around 1.76cubes then after driver displacement, port displacement you'd be right around 1.5cubes, which is optimal from fi. But it's really up to you how/where you want the box located in the back. you could do 14"x18"x16" or 20"x12"x16", etc get my point? From your vague details of what you want it to do "punch hard and sound good" I would tune around 33hz. Are you building the box or having someone else build it?
  14. How about you tell us a little more information, I'm going to assume this is going in a car. What vehicle? How much space do you have to work with? Give us max dimensions, volume. How much space are you willing to give up from above. Bigger box and you can run less power and have equivalent output but sacrifice space, or you could run a smaller box with more power (if your electrical can handle it, not sure what amp you have, etc.)...
  15. Get a 3.5mm jack adapter to rca, then plug ipod on one side and on other you have rcas to plug into the amp. I'm pretty sure the headphone jacks on the ipods and all that is 3.5mm...

  17. Perhaps a tongue between the terminals

Just buy the bl and call it a day. It will do well on the lows... It's a subwoofer for christs sake, and I know I'm being very generalist right now but sometimes there's no need to get technical especially in this case...
  19. well im gonna try to get my hands on one, but the sub was out of the box, brand new, thats why i dont understand why it didnt work The coils could have the wrong resistance, unlikely but possible, that's why he's suggesting you check to rule it out.

I had the KM's on my jeep and it sucked, but I also think they had a bad wear pattern and that was to blame for all my steering issues... I currently have the KM2s and love them, I feel so much less in the road, going over damaged roads, potholes, anything, on the highway there not bad either. I also had the ATs on another jeep and they worked well, but replaced them with Nitto Trail Grapplers and there great. A lot for more traction offroad and the highway driving isn't that noticeable difference. And lastly I have the Nitto Trail Grapplers on a dodge ram turbo diesel and just drove 900miles across the state and needless to say they were awesome.
  21. First take the cap out and leave it out. Put a dmm on the speaker terminals on amp and see if there's any ac voltage. Setting Subsonic Filter (SSF) Subsonic filter reduces the amplitude of certain frequencies depending on where it's set. If your using a sealed enclosure, then turn the ssf all the way counter-clockwise. So your enclosure is ported? Your going to set the ssf to the frequency your box is tuned to. Let's use 30hz as an example... disconnect speakers turn ssf counter-clockwise until it's considered "off" play 30hz tone at volume 10. Measure the voltage output Let y = voltage output * 0.707 turn ssf clockwise until voltage output now matches "y" Now your ssf is set.
  22. It does have a built in line driver, variable 1-9 volts Good catch Sandt
  23. Fi sometimes takes their time about actually getting you the tracking number, doesn't mean it hasn't been shipped... So I would just kick back and relax. A lot of people have posted similar stories and were starting to get ancy as to when their stuff would show up, then the next day it was at their doorstep and there jumping up and down P.S Congratz on your purchase, whichever model it is, Your going to be very pleased.
  24. If you plug an ipod into the maxxlink in place of headunit signal and play a lets say 40hz tone, no output? You could put a dmm on the maxxlink output and at least see if a signal is coming out. Seems you fix one problem and another occurs, they must be related in one way or another... I'm searching google my friend
