3.75dbs. There is no way to tell which will be louder and by how much. 2 15s would have more cone area but the BTL is designed for all out spl. Honestly I don't know which will be louder. Good luck and be sure to post a build log

I wanna see a video of your voltage

SSA Forum is 8 years old & SSA Inc. is 4 years old today.
ssh replied to Aaron Clinton's topic in Sound Solutions Audio (SSA®)
Go SSA :D Although I haven't been on this forum for more then a year, from reading old topics, viewing old youtube videos, and what not I have definitely seen ssa has evolved and continues to this day. And I'm thankful for that -
bought a fi bl 18" from nick9892 last week, he shipped as soon as payment cleared, gave me a tracking number, used UPS ground not some bullshit usps like some people fast communication, easy to work with. Thanks man, Stefan

stop asking questions like this. Its dependent on the installl and goal in mind. sealed, ported, port tuning, sq vs spl. 2000watts rms? or peak? just because an amp says 2000watts doesn't mean it does. some are underrated others are overrated. One electrical may support 1500watts and the other persons electrical can't even support 500watts yet they claim to be running 2000watts. I could go on and on, so quit asking.... If you want to be like everyone at your school then go with JL or kicker or whatever other mainstream brand you desire. If you want something different that will stand out and likely be louder if done right, then order a fi product. I suggest you read up on past topics here and you'll learn a lot. Or you could buy ten sony xplod 12" drivers on the cheap and get loud...and sound like sh*t.

Rough Idle with new HC1800
ssh replied to Shogen's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
something could be plugging your fuel lines, what vehicle do you have? Some vehicles ecu resets when the battery is disconnected and has to relearn everything for your fuel system, usually lasts a couple hundred miles. -
This wouldn't be a bad idea to help with the heat, http://www.summitracing.com/parts/TAY-2590 I used it on a sport bike, between the exhaust and rear seat, worked well. Good luck

maybe the radiator is dissipating enough heat near the battery causing it to bulge, sounds likely. Do you have the xs power steel casing around your battery?

Could you take a picture under your hood so we can see how everything looks. close up on battery area. Check the voltage on both batteries with a dmm, and whats the voltage at idle? sounds more like somethings up with your fuel system to be honest. -
talk about customer service

sold a saz1500d to Bubblyjock the other day, he sent payment within hours and had the amp shipped out the next day. Good guy

I've just read several topics having to do with the new ownership of ss. it seems to me it's not going very well. on the SS forum people are posting they are unable to get any response about products from the owner via email. A dealer in another country was running out of ss products and couldn't get a hold of the new owner for reorders. And reading a couple posts up in this thread stating "I dont know anything about this product as far as stock". I just hope SS is still around in six months...

sundown audio 15" package deal or xcon 15" deal
ssh replied to mustangsub's topic in Subwoofers / Speakers
simple question, simple answer. nightshade for spl, xcon for sq. Can the xcon still get loud? yes. can the nightshade still sound good? yes. -
I was starting to get mad when I read that title... lol, I must say that was one of the funniest videos i've seen in a while. baby zebra rofl. J.price man my wheels broken, anyone wanna give me some money?!?!?! ... I can't find the video, but he has a no video and he states that it was all just a test to see who would really help him out... rofl http://www.youtube.com/user/baggedz71?feature=chclk#p/u/0/_skS02462VU

recommend me a good amp please!
ssh replied to AndrewBR98's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
For a 1000watts I'd use 0gauge or 2gauge not 4gauge. -
haha, you may be able to use a car battery charger to power your car amp, but i'm not sure since i've never done it.

Taken directly off fi site:

12" btl dual 2ohm wired to 1ohm. when you can afford it get an amp that makes 2000watts at 1ohm, gain down til you can afford the electrical to back it up, then properly set your gain and now its louder
-
Yeah looks fine. Cheap too. I use welding wire from weldingsupply.com and I love it
-
If you run 2k watts then yes. If your running 1000watts then use a bl
-
Get a btl under power it then take full advantage of it when you get a bigger amp and alt
-
You want to stay with a 12 but don't want to run more power but want it louder More cone area or more power
