Just be careful when you drink it, it impairs you

Yes you are correct. amp makes 4300watts at 1ohm. Wire two dual 1ohm drivers according to the below chart for a final load of 1ohm at the amp 4300watts / 2 = 2150watts per driver. ok thanks and Audioque rates all their amps at RMS wattage output im assuming? how do i find this out Here's the specs from the manufacturers site: http://www.audioque.com/aq/?page_id=30 Just make sure your looking at 14.4v specs, unless your running a 16v setup which I doubt... I've never used AQ amps so I can't say there good or bad. Someone else will have to post for an answer.

Beer will freeze, low alcohol content... Ever get a cold beer from the fridge and bang it on a hard surface and watch what happens when you open it?

He's running out of woofer porn Andrew, hurry

your username says alot, you should change it to 194. I haven't read through your whole topic, just last couple posts, but it really sounds like you have no idea what your doing man. trying to run a 2ohm stable amp down to 1ohm = bad idea. That amp will not make 5000watts at 1ohm, not sure what type of protection circuity it has but hopefully it has something to stop a 1ohm load... Even if it did make 5000watts at 1ohm, that means each driver (if running 2) will get 2500watts. The power is divided among the drivers.

Hello, bought a 270xp from you guys on 9/21/10, sales number was 12967. Due to me vehicle (1997 jeep wrangler straight six 4.0l engine) it needed a bypass harness, but you guys shipped it without a resistor for the stock wiring since they were out of stock. I sent Kyle a PM on October 29th and haven't heard any news about the resistor... I'd like to get this in sometime before I forget about it and have to call you a year later asking about it. Thanks, Stefan Hinote

Post a new thread for an enclosure quote / build.

Is this for some btls?

Couldn't of said it any better. What coil config are the drivers? As long as you can wire the subs together to 1ohm then strap them.

When they were blowing on it? Biology 101 We inhale Oxygen and Exhale Carbon Dioxide. You're joking right? If they blow from that kind of distance it will get more oxygen then Carbon dioxide. Nobody was smart enough to pop the hood and disconnect power wires? and then put water on it? He's gotcha there Tirefryr

Could you elaborate?

You don't buy a car and ask the salesman to teach you how to drive. Fi can tell you what volume and tuning for an enclosure to use, but they don't know every vehicles cabin dimensions, nor should they. You buy their product along with technical specs as far as enclosure volume and tuning for daily, then make a separate post in spl / sql fabrication for help on the actual box design and your vehicles inside measurements, then everyone else can chime in and help.

Firstly, Your box is awesome. Love the colors and plexi. Secondly, I love the dustcaps on smaller sized drivers, gives it a beefy look. And thirdly, I love the false panel and amp rack fuse holder side.

Doing a ported enclosure would give you a bit more output, which would be nice since your using low power relatively I'd tune around 30hz-33hz, this would give you a nice increase in output compared to a sealed box, yet still be able to play all music. The dcons are rated at 300watts a piece, so depending on the coil config, you could run your amp at 1ohm or 2ohm, and in essence give each driver 500watts or 375watts. I've never done any testing with a dcon so I can't say whether or not it would take 500watts. Someone else will have to chime in on that. ^This would give you the cone area advantage like Aaron said above. Now on the other hand, you could use a smaller box and go with an Icon on 1000watts. I've personally owned a pair of 12" Icons and absolutely loved them. I recently heard a single 12" Icon in a trunk car and it was loud surprisingly loud considering I currently run an 18" driver Reason I haven't mentioned anything about the Fi products is I haven't actually tested the Qs or Xs. Now if you ask me about the BL line... And the decision grows harder...

I was expecting a big black... Incriminator driver!

So your driver is Dual 1ohm. You can wire it to 0.5ohm (not recommended) or 2ohms. Wiring Diagram You can always get an amp stable to 1ohm for future use. Say in the future you get another dual 1ohm driver, then you can run the amp down to 1ohm.

SMD's can't even take 3k lol. They can't even take 3 watts But they sure are peeerdy

Setting gain varies from setup to another. Not all headunits have the some pre-out voltage, nor does everyone have the same max volume, otherwise there wouldn't be a gain. ex: I could have the gain on my amp maxed out yet never clip the signal but because I only turn my volume knob on my headunit to 5. But you on the otherhand, could have your gain in 12' position and volume at 25 and clip the signal. It all depends on your headunit AND how you set everything.

lol. Fail on the amp and fail for not having a shirt

RCAs and remote wire is cheap to begin with. Why not spend an extra five bucks and have decent wire. Stating your stuff is "cheap off brand wire and rca" doesn't give us any idea what it actually is Now you don't need the fancy gold tipped ends for "better connectivity", but you may not want the cheapest wire for your signal either...
