Yeah and automatics are illegal yet it's legal to buy modifications to turn your gun into one. I know it doesn't solve anything, but I hope the shooter (jared loughner) gets the death penalty. an eye for an eye...

What happened is awful, and what's almost worse is knowing how close I was at that time and if there could have been an intervention. Obviously no one knew it was coming, but the thought of being so close while it did happen...

Nice, cool feature finally adding wifi to phones. I was thinking it was cool about the plane. It was actually decent speed too. I recently used the in-flight WiFi on an AirTran flight from Washington D.C. Only downside is the "free" part of it is only for a limited time. On top of that, there are only a certain number of free spots on the network so you have to hurry and jump on before everyone else does. It was still pretty cool that I got to check my e-mail and such. I just wish they wouldn't start charging for it. I'm sure it's going to be some ridiculous amount of money. yeah that blows when "free" is limited use. I'm sure a lot of colleges have this, but the one I'm looking into has wifi across the whole university campus, definitely awesome for work and school.

Had to check that bish up on sourcewatch... Pretty scary she got appointed. Voted against extending the voting rights act, and voted against aid package for Hurricane Katrina victims. What's next...

Interesting to see how the new type-r does. Wouldn't mess with the shallow though, I bet it'd take a shit real fast Oh and your setup is literally a woofer cooker

Why even say that when you just said you have zero experience with them. Maybe their crap or maybe they sound really good if installed properly, but if you don't know then why slam them... OP, I did a google search on them and didn't find any informative posts about'm

Which way is better to keep voltage up?
ssh replied to harveywong's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
did you set the voltage meters based on a dmm reading or just installed them from factory settings? also what volt meters are you using? and you do that in a parallel setup the voltage will be constant right so if you are getting different readings there is something else a miss. also will a second run help you out... i say yes only because you are using more then 3k (amp specs) i say for every 3k use 1 run! but also keep in mind your alt is outputting at best 180 amps which is PLENTY for one run Since each run of 1/0 since each run can hold... what 200-300amps... depending on the brand if you had a 320amp alt i would say go with 2-3runs again depending on the brand used! Are you referring to the voltage difference from the front to the rear? If so, It's called resistance, whether it be from the single power run, poor ground, or chassis, etc. and X2 on what type of voltage meter your using? and did you adjust it to match the reading with your dmm? Or did you just stick it in? -
Sweet, now you just gotta brace the roof I bet that thing gets loud

audioque 2200d, 0 guage wire, big 3, no extra batteries or anything yet. I dont have the amp yet, just ordered it so it may be fine, but I was just curious just in case. and yea I was thinking DC could customize something if needed. oh and i have a 2007 F-150...but keep in mind its a 4.2L V6, not the 4.6 or 5.4, its a lot harder to find things for the 4.2 Is this going to be a daily driver playing full tilt all the time? Or competing and full tilt is only for short runs? DC Power listed some older year f150s with the 4.2l option, but with your year it's not listed on the site, however that doesn't mean much, I bet if you call them they'll have it or could make it They also came out with another line of alternators, so depending on your needs and budget they have something that works for everyone. Do you ever plan on doing another build and using more amps? If so then I'd get a big alt. If your not going to be upgrading down the road then you could get one of their smaller alts and an extra battery and you'd probably be good for driving around at full tilt. If your just going to play it at full tilt for short sessions then a couple xspower batts would likely do. its just a daily driver, play at moderate levels sometimes and full tilt other times, but definitely not all the time. I am not adding more amps or doing another build, this is final Okay, I would suggest getting an alt. Some say you could use a large battery bank and be fine, but your always going to be draining them and needing a recharge when your at home, and a whole battery bank takes up space and weighs a lot. Either get a top of the line DC alt and run no extra batteries or get a lower line alt and an extra battery for the rear. At least that's what I would do

x10 on Don from SDS, his stuff works very well and isn't overpriced. I went down to secondskinaudio the other day since they moved to my town. I was planning on buying some damplifier (big cld tile) and when I saw it, It's super thin compared to Don's cld tiles, I then looked at their damplifier pro and it was thicker then the damplifier but not as thick and Don's and after doing the math it was also pricier. Luckily they had some problem at their buildhouse and had a bunch of sheets that were thicker then the damplifier pro and they sold it to me for the price of the damplifier But I got lucky, so unless they run into another problem at their build house I'll be buying again from SDS for my future needs.
